Make Money with Ask Related Search

It’s been a few days now since I started running Ask Related Search and I am now anxiously waiting for my first stats to be available. I have no idea what to expect, but I have already heard from many other publishers that they are seeing much higher earnings with Ask Related Search over Google Adsense. I’ve even seen some articles reference to it as "The Adsense Killer!"… let’s not get carried away!… at least not until I see my stats!

What I really love about Ask Related Search is the ability to target towards any keyword. Once you have the keyword set, Ask Related Search will then show 5 to 20 related search terms. Should your site visitor click the search term, then click a "sponsored listing", you’ll earn a commission. It’s a bit more of a click process than Google Adsense, but one would imagine it would deliver higher quality clicks, which should also return higher commissions. Another great feature of the program is how you can blend in the search terms in your regular content. Like Google Adsense you have the ability to change colors, but you can also remove the Ask logo, in addition to choose vertical or horizontal sizes, at any height or length.

Once inside the Ask Related Search admin area, you have a lot of options!

I just talked with Media Jump, the company that manages the Ask Related Search backend and they mentioned they were receiving some traffic and signups through this blog, which was exciting for me! If you have not applied for Ask Related Search, now is a great time to get in since they are not on many sites. When you apply, it would be greatly appreciated if you would post "www.zacjohnson.com" in the "REFERRED HERE BY:" section of the form. I’m not saying this will automatically get you accepted, but they are keeping any eye on referrals and aware of my demographic of site visitors. Should you have any questions or problems with your application or being approved, feel free to contact me and I’ll see what I can do.

My First Review Me Order

While at my girlfriend’s house I decided to check my email through my palm treo. I was very surprised and excited to see my first Review Me order! The review was ordered up by BloggingTips, which will soon be reviewed. Once I arrived back home I checked my email again and went to ReviewMe for more information. It looks like my blog is featured on their main page as one of their "HOT Today’s Best!". As mentioned in my previous "Get Paid to Blog" post, I don’t promote the Review Me badge on my blog, but should any review orders come in through the Review Me Directory, I would be thrilled! (if you would like to order a review, please click here.)

As the blog continually grows and more posts are added, (which are hopefully giving you new ideas and motivation to make money), I’ve decided that starting in July I will attempt to make money off this blog, while making a case study out of it. Not so much for financial gain, but to further support my continuing mission to help YOU make more money! One of the hottest topics on JohnChow’s blog, is his end of the month earnings review. After ordering well over $1500 n reviews myself for this blog, many have stated they would also like to see the same type of information on this blog.

The last thing I want is for this blog to be seen as a commercial web site, and possibly lose visitors because of too many ads or loss of personalization and information. This blog is backed up with MY NAME and that is something I WILL NOT tarnish. I look forward to bringing you the best new affiliate programs and ways to make money online. This latest Review Me order has only made me even more motivated to grow this blog and help you make even more money! I have a lot of cool sites, promotions and ideas in the works, so stay tuned and stay motivated!

Ask Related Search

I just recently read about Ask.com’s plans to announce out their own contextual advertising program to compete with Google and Yahoo. Since I’ve already had a ton of success with Google Adsense and Yahoo Publisher Network, I quickly went to apply for Ask.com Related Search (managed through MediaJump). Within 24 hours of applying, I’ve already been accepted! (I’m just waiting now for full access into their system as they need to check the tracking/html setup). Take a look below for a preview of their search box and top search terms ad layout.

I’m extremely excited about this new program. Yahoo Publisher Network was absolutely amazing when they first came out, and if Ask Related Search is anything like it… I’ll party like there’s no tomorrow! :) To say the least, I’m ridiculously excited about the release of this program and think it will be great! I’ll keep you updated on it’s performance and once I get into the main system. Right now it looks like they are being very picky on who they "manually" approve into the network.

Get Paid to Blog

Seems more and more people are starting to make some decent money off blog reviews and sponsored posts. I’m currently signed up with Review Me (as a blogger) and listed in their directory, but I don’t push my badge on this blog for paid reviews. Should someone find me through the ReviewMe directory, that would be great, but right now I want to focus on content and helping others make money online. I heavily stress than NONE of the posts on this site have been paid for or sponsored reviews. (Should there be any in the future, they would be noted as a "paid review") You also won’t even come across Google Adsense or any other banner ads on the site. At the most, I only incorporate referral urls when talking about a new site or offer… which are all to quality companies/site I work with.

As I continually read more about paid reviews, I wonder… how much can actually be made? Well, looks like that’s next on my list of things to find out! This morning I decided to pick up a new domain and am in the process of making a new blog. This new blog will be dedicated to just paid reviews and I will track and report it’s revenue performance on this blog to keep you updated. This will pretty much be a step by step process on how to make money through "sponsored posts". This will be new to me, and to make it fair to the sites/offers I am reviewing, I will also cross promote the blog on some other sites of mine to drive some traffic through the site.

(EDIT: I will need to read the terms and policies on these networks to go over their real posts vs paid post ratios. I will also need to come up with a basic idea for the site since just reviews apparently wouldn’t fly with the networks. I am thinking of making it more of a complete review site, then just mixing paid reviews in along with it. This would also do well for search indexing and google adsense earnings!)

Get Paid to Blog

This should be fun and interesting! I’m planning on using the big three "paid blogger" programs at the moment, which are Review Me, PayPerPost and Sponsored Reviews. (I will soon do a network review on the three of these programs as well.) Feel free to let me know what you think about the idea, what you would like to see on the site and which networks you have made money with and why you prefer one over the others.

Better Earnings with AuctionAds

Now that we are a week into June, I can finally show you some numbers for AuctionAds performance this month. Last month I earned $216.27 with the program, and that was my initial testing with the program for the last 22 days of the month. May’s final earnings per click sent to AuctionAds ended just under .01 per click. As May was coming to a close and the news of eBay’s new and improved payout structure was soon to come into effect, I was quite hopeful for much higher earnings in June. From looking at this month’s stats below, it has done just that. While it took roughly 22 days last month to make $216.27, I am already at $335.29 only six days into the month. What I don’t understand is how I can be making $50 to $99 a day… then have a $2.70 day on the 4th??? I know earnings stats are delayed on AuctionAds, but some of the numbers just seem weird some times.

$335.29 in Six Days… Much Better Than May’s Performance!

As per my last post on AuctionAds, I said I would like to make at least $750 during June, with a earnings per click average of higher than .01 per click. Right now I am clearly on my way to heavily passing that $750 target, and currently seeing earnings around .02 per click. I am still targeting towards the same keywords as last month and using all of the same creatives/sizes and placement. I can only assume the new high numbers are from the new eBay payout structure. Should these numbers continue, I will gladly push this program month after month.
