Good customer service is hard to find… but worth noting when received. Over the weekend I had some server down time due to some upgrades. In short, I had to log into my GoDaddy account to change some DNS information, but I had previously changed my password and could not remember which it was. For GoDaddy to send me a new password, this would have to be done through email… and since my servers were down I had no email. After a few attempts at putting in the wrong password, I was then locked out of access to my account. I then decided to get GoDaddy support on the phone and have them re-issue a new password for the account. I figured this might have a been an issue since just calling up for a password or access to account seems like a security issues. I called and talked with Nick on the phone, who was great with everything. I verified all my account information and he took the account of "Locked" status and had my account email switched over to my Gmail account so I could setup a new one. This is the second time I talked with GoDaddy on the phone and their support has always been awesome!
Then this morning I had to give Yahoo Search Marketing a call . Once again, I was ready for some complications. This time the matter was on my account status and a deposit I made a while back. I signed up to Yahoo Search Marketing way back in October 2006 and made a deposit of $300 to my account. At the time I was trying to get into ppc again, but never ended up making any campaigns, so the account and funds just sat their. Since I am getting back into PPC again, I tried logging into my account today and was locked out. I also had an email from Yahoo saying "A couple of months back, you signed up for a new Yahoo! Search Marketing account, but according to our records, it has not been activated. If you do not activate account ####### soon, it is at risk of being deleted from our system." in my Gmail account… so I figured my account was surely deleted. Once I talked with James at Yahoo and went through my situation, he found that I had two accounts and unlocked the one with the funds and I was able to access my account again.
I’ve been working with GoDaddy for several years now and love their customer support, and I’m sure I will be working a lot more with Yahoo Search Marketing. Knowing these two companies offer an excellent support system means a lot to me. There is nothing I hate more than having to call a company and basically "know" more than them about their company and have to explain everything. If you hate using the phone, GoDaddy also offers a great email support system. They have a ticker on the site letting you know how long it will take to get a response from them (usually 1-4 hours). I just submit an email question through the Yahoo Search Marketing admin area, so we will see how long that takes. I will also keep you updated on the campaigns being setup to go live on Yahoo. I give both GoDaddy and Yahoo Search Marketing a "Thumbs Up" for their customer support!

I’ve been making money online for ten years now, and one of the main reasons why I can continually make money, is because I adapt to the new and ever changing environment. In the beginning I was heavy on content sites and relying on search engines to bring in free traffic, while focusing on Amazon.com books and movies titles for content. Second, I was into making free stuff content sites and soon moving into the sweepstakes market and running my own contests/surveys. After that, I was into the email marketing, sending out offers to hundreds of thousands of my opt-in mailing lists. Email was amazing, but soon became much more of a burden with all of the new legal issues and spam filters in place. As of lately, I have been back in the high traffic content sites and having my best financial years yet! But what is next…
As new markets come and go, they can just as easily get flooded. If you are in early, you can cash in like crazy, but you won’t make massive riches forever. You always have to be ready for what’s next, and not keep all your eggs in one basket. Over the past several months I have been thinking a lot about what direction I should be heading in next. It wasn’t till attending Affiliate Summit East, that I decided to make the move into the ppc market. After talking with some of the speakers (especially Amit) at the event, it has given me the full motivation and dedication I need. In short, focusing on PPC is pretty much buying keyword traffic from Google, Yahoo and MSN… then selling it back to advertisers at higher rates. This is usually done through network CPA offers.
I’ve always wanted to get into the PPC market, but have made some low effort attempts and got discouraged. PPC can be extremely rewarding, but also very frustrating if you aren’t ready to take on the burden of massive testing and monetization. My motivation level is so high right now that I am just dreaming of potential results I could be seeing in the coming months. As much as I hate the concept selling of ebooks (since most are full of crap), I actually went ahead and purchased a couple from Perry Marshall (Google Adwords Master) and Chris Carpenter (yet another Master!)… only because they came with very high recommendations from some close friends. So far they are both looking good… no complaints so far.
Tonight I will start taking on some campaigns and putting together some new ideas. The earning potential in PPC search advertising is limitless… imagine having hundreds of money producing web sites running for you while you sleep! It’s not a dream, but a reality that can be obtained with some time and effort. Is anyone else making big bucks in the PPC market? Any tips to share? As I spend more time in the PPC market, I will gladly add more useful information on the topic.

First I would like to thank everyone that had made a post and pingback to the "Ultimate Affiliate Summit Blog Post Giveaway!". If you have made a post, please use the contact page and send over your mailing address along with the url posting and I will make sure to get some stuff out to you. It’s still not too late to make a posting to earn a free goodie!
Here’s one of the first contests to start getting rid of some of this stuff!
Let’s start it off with a "TOP COMMENTERS" Contest!
We are already almost halfway through the month, so this one will go fairly quick… while rewarding participation in the blog. The top three commenters at the end of the month will all be rewarded with prizes… if you aren’t in the lead, then you have some catching up to do. This one is more of a thank you and an incentive to the posters on the blog.
First Place:
CollegeBound Beach Ball, NeverBlueAds Pen, MoneyReign Pens, Network Solution Mints
Second Place:
NeverBlueAds Pen, MoneyReign Pens, Kasamba Mints
Third Place:
NeverBlueAds Pens, MoneyReign Pens

The NeverBlueAds pens are actually pretty nice! I’ll throw in a bunch of my network pens with all the winning packages as well.
You won’t need to wait till the end of the month for the next contest… I still have a ton of stuff and will post another one within the next couple of days. Feel free to post any ideas you might have for some of the bigger/better prizes. (Stay tuned… within the next week or so I will be launching a huge contest, with the prize valued at over $900!)

I’ve been back from Affiliate Summit East 2007 for almost two days now, but still have a few more photos and topics to blog about! Here are some of the pictures I took while running through the exhibit hall.

Of course I had to meet up with Jordan and Tina from NeverBlueAds!

Always keeping it real and telling it like it is.. Jon from WickedFire!

With Brook and the gang from Schaaf Consulting.

Google… so advanced, my camera flash wouldn’t go off because of their lit up booth sign!

Behind the “Poker Table” with the Moniker Domain Auction guys.

At the Virtumundo booth… they have the crazy punching monkeys everyone wants!

With Greg Hoffman and the gang at ThinkPartnership (Kowabunga)

With Sagi Cezana at the FriendFinder.com Network Booth

At the WebmasterRadio Booth with co-founder Daron Babin

Brian from Shareasale. A straight up classy guy and one of my great long time friends!

They didn’t have a booth, but I did talk with the guys from Shopzilla.com for a while.
Unfortunately, all good networking must come to an end… as did Affiliate Summit East 2007. Here are a couple pictures of the massive removal process for the exhibit hall. Right as everything was being torn down and packed away, the next show was getting ready to move in. Time is money!

The last day of Affiliate Summit East started with keynote speakers Rob Kniaz from Google and Mark Papia from Fox Interactive Media.

Next it was lunch time, then I spoke in the “Elevator Networking” sessions.

Lee Dodd and Jeremy Schoemaker (Shoemoney) held a panel on how to manage and optimize your online forums.

The last speaker of the event was by Kristopher Jones, President & CEO of PepperJam. This was a really great presentation and I learned a of from Kristopher. Like the presentation from Amit, Kris offered real lfe figures and help many people in the room start earning over $10k a month through ppc marketing. Very cool stuff!

The last session of the event was the “Closing Remarks”. Everyone in the room had an opportunity to listen and/or get up and speak about what they learned or how they felt about the event. Once again, I spoke to the crowd and let everyone know how fortunate they are to have attended the event and that there is still so much money to be made in this market. Amit and Kristopher also followed up with great comments on the event.

Lastly, all sessions came to a close and the only thing left to do was network and party! Everyone gathered outside for the “Poolside After Party” which went on for a few hours… but the networking and partying went on way into the morning hours.

After the poolside networking party, my father, Brad Waller and I went over to a steak restaurant and had dinner. We returned to the hotel and the networking was still going on. Brian Littleton played the piano, as he usually does at Affiliate Summit, while others sung (or at least tried) lyrics to their favorite songs.

And with that, another amazing Affiliate Summit comes to an end. Like all the events, this one was special… but I feel this one may lead to some new profitable projects for myself, and definately some new lifelong friends!
