Finally, the Affiliate Summit East 2007 Videos and Presentations are now available online. This is the first time speaker videos and presentations are being offered online through Affiliate Summit. I’m really glad to see these videos online. It’s really great to be able to go back and actually listen and watch the presentations you missed, but even more so to go over any that you want a recap on. It’s really amazingly ridiculously that these are being offered free to anyone… the value in some of these speaker presentations is BIG. It’s up to you to make the effort to take this knowledge and turn it into some money. Before going to the latest Affiliate Summit, I was pretty much doing nothing with PPC. While at the event, I got super psyched and motivated about all this extra revenue I should be taking advantage of. As you may already know, I’m now adding a few hundred bucks a day profit to my bottom line… and this is just the beginning! Watch these videos and comment on what you thought.

It’s been about two weeks now since I started playing around with ppc, but really only a week since I’ve started to get serious with it. In two weeks time I went from losing money on campaigns, to making some good margins… and already pushing three figures daily promoting offers on NeverBlueAds. I’m somewhat new to the PPC game and it seems I learn something new each day. Since I’m finding the new PPC area pretty fun and very informative, I thought I would start a new feature on the blog to share this information as well, and I will call it "Super Affiliate Guide"!. Hopefully I will get some nice feedback and information from others in the PPC area too. Stay tuned for various updates and tips as I come across new ways to make money through PPC and how to best monetize existing campaigns.

Over the past couple of weeks I have been testing a lot with ppc advertising and it has been fun and very frustrating at the same time. For the most part it has been a lot of testing and creating of campaigns and new landing pages. One of the most important things to work on, while doing a PPC campaign is getting the users to click on the offer once you have them on your landing page. Since you are no longer allowed to send traffic right to an advertiser’s landing page, you need to create your own… or even your own mini-sites full of content, to get past Google’s Quality Score ranking. If you comply and make a great site and have an established domain, you will actually end up saving yourself a lot of money per click, as Google will see your site as providing some value, instead of just another arbitrage site.
So far I have been testing a few offers through NeverBlueAds. I was focusing on one certain campaign for a while. The first test I ended up spending around $60, and made $30. (Net loss of $30)… I clearly needed to work on my click numbers as less than 20% of my traffic was clicking over to the landing page. I had setup a few more landing pages and was able to finally get around 80%+ of the traffic to click on the link, bringing them to the advertiser landing page. Unfortunately I was still losing money on this campaign, even with the high click rate. I made another landing page and worked on the PPC amounts and the campaign is now profitable.
I’m really excited now, because the same day this campaign went profitable, I had set up a couple other campaigns and one of them is producing earnings in the 75-100% area. Meaning if I spend $50 on PPC, the campaign makes $100. When you come across a gem campaign that really works, it’s crucial that you work on getting and testing on as much volume as possible. I was first focusing on Google, but now setting up some campaigns now on MSN and Yahoo.
As mentioned earlier, PPC is pretty much new to me and as I have heard from many… just keep testing! Since coming back from Affiliate Summit and talking to some of the PPC masters making big bucks, I have been dedicated to doing the same, and promised myself I would master this market. Last month I was able to earn in excess of $7,000 with NeverBlueAds, just off my general network sites traffic. Now with the addition of PPC marketing, my target is at least $30,000 with them next month. If you are not already in the PPC market, signup to NeverBlueAds and start testing with their offers. They have some really great offers and amazing rates. I’ll keep you updated on my PPC success!

A couple weeks ago I received a postcard from Resorts Casino in Atlantic City and to come pickup my free iPod Nano and iPod Radio Docking Station. My girlfriend Reena and her best friend came along, as well as some of her friends who have never been to Atlantic City before. On the way there as we were approaching the casinos, we could see these massive lightning bolts and the sky was getting dark really fast. Out of no where, there was an immediately downpour of rain, hail and wind. I was debating whether or not I was going to drive the Hummer down, since its rough on gas… but I am sure glad I did. If you’ve ever been to Atlantic City, you know the roads leading to the casinos have the bay and marshes on both sites. Right when the storm started, we were on the low level roads and they were just flooded instantly. Once the storm finally passed, it was fun to drive through the deep puddles though
Once we arrived at the Resorts Casino I had to park in some small parking lot since the Hummer won’t fit into their parking garage. I told everyone to stay in the car, then I ran inside and found this long line of people picking up their free gifts. Luckily, there was a break in the line and I was able to hop in and shave some time off. It looked like my iPod package was the best deal, others were receiving kitchen utensils and alarm clocks! Once I received my gift I quickly left Resorts, as it’s not the best casino around. We left the parking lot, which was a ridiculous $15, then headed over to Ceasars.
At Caesars I was teaching all of Reena’s friends how to play Craps. I played for about 30 minutes and ended up leaving the table. Reena hit the slots and won a quick $50. We were then deciding where to go to eat, but before leaving, I hit the roulette table and went through a quick $500
We were going to eat at the Rainforest Cafe, but there was a two hour wait. Instead we found a nice sports restaurant called "Game On" in the new Atlantic City mall on the boardwalk. After dinner we headed over the Trump Plaza. Instead of Craps, this time we tried our luck at some roulette again. I always play 32 and stack a ton of chips on it. We went to the first table and went through $1000, no big 32 hit. Then we went to another table… same result. I decided to try my luck one more time and put out some more money. This table was crazy, I hit 5 numbers in a row, but they weren’t the super huge payout I was aiming for, with the hit of 32. In the end, 32 never hit and I left Trump down $3200 (ironically).
On the way out I was telling Reena about the idea of making a BIG BET on RED while passing through Caesars, since that’s where we parked. I was very hesitant, and no body wanted to watch. I went up to a roulette table that just cleared out. I got $3500 in $500 chips and $300 in $100 chips. I put $3500 on RED, $100 on 32 (if it should hit) and $200 on 0 and 00 if they should hit. Of course by now there was an audience to see what the result was of my bet. The croupier spins the ball, the floor manager says "Good Luck"…and RED 3 hits! I win my$3500 bet and I’m even for the day! Not only am I even, but I also got my free iPod Nano and Docking Station, along with Reena winning $50 for herself. All in all, it was a good trip… but it was a once in a life time BIG BET that was bigger than anything else I had bed before. Let’s see if Trump or Caesars now send me any gifts for my game play!

HandHeld Entertainment has acquired eBaumsWorld.com for $17.5 million! eBaumsworld.com is one known as being on of the first and largest entertainment sites online. At it’s prime the entertainment site ranked within the Top 500 sites, based on Alexa ranking. Due to mass competition in the video and entertainment space, eBaumsworld.com has lost a lot of it’s traffic due to new 2.0 sites like break.com, metacafe.com and youtube. Below is an Alexa traffic chart for ebaumsworld.com over the past few years.

EbaumsWorld.com’s page views have steadily decreased as more 2.0 sites go live.
According to Wikipedia, ebaumsworld.com is: eBaum’s World (subtitled "Media for the masses") is a popular website based in Rochester, New York featuring media such as videos, Flash cartoons and web games. It is highly controversial for many reasons, primarily due to the fact that content on the website is taken from other sources without permission and rebranded with the eBaum’s World logo. The site, which is owned by Eric "eBaum" Bauman, a native of Rochester, New York, ranks in the top 2000 sites on the Internet according to the website Alexa. It is co-owned by Eric’s secretary and father, Neil Bauman.
The purchase of eBaumsWorld.com is just one of many from Handheld Entertainment. Let’s take a look at some of their previous acquisitions:
November 14, 2006
- HandHeld Entertainment Acquires Dorks.com, a Fast-Growing Web Site Full of Hilarious Videos Attracting Up To 1 Million Unique Visitors per Month. $1.5 Million.
December 1, 2006
- HandHeld Entertainment Increases Position in the User-Generated Humorous Videos Marketplace by Acquiring FunMansion.com for $1.1 Million
December 18, 2006
- HandHeld Entertainment Acquires YourDailyMedia.com for $1.06 Million; HandHeld’s Network of Web Sites Now Attracts as Many as 5 Million Unique Visitors Per Month
February 6, 2007
- HandHeld Entertainment Acquires Putfile.com and Increases Audience to More Than 13.7 Million Unique Visitors and 83 Million Page Views. $7.1 Million
March 27, 2007
- HandHeld Entertainment Expands European Presence with Acquisition of UnOriginal.co.uk. $500,000
April 24, 2007
- HandHeld Entertainment Continues to Expand its European Presence with the Acquisition of Holylemon.com. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
August 2, 2007
- HandHeld Entertainment to Acquire eBaum’s World, a Premier Online Entertainment Site. $17.5 Million
As you can see from Handheld Entertainment’s acquisitions, they are quite serious… buying up almost all sites that rank on the first page of Google for "funny videos". Now let’s take a look at Handheld Entertainment’s stock situation. (Symbol: ZVUE).
The chart below represents ZVUE stock over the past year. The huge jump in the stock price during November was a direct result of the news of their first purchase of Dorks.com… since then the stock has been absolutely horrendous. I was unlucky enough to jump in and follow this stock at the time of it’s rocketing from $1 to $7 per share… and now almost back to where it originally started. I have been buying on the dips, which seem to be continuous. However, with their recent purchases, they are always a possible buyout target and have a very powerful network of entertainment sites at the moment. What is even more interesting is that nearly all of Handheld Entertainment’s acquisitions were a cash and stock bundle package. With such fluctuations in their stock price, these multi-million dollar deals have potentially changed from being worth millions to much smaller figure deals in the long run. (Vice versa if we should see this stock rocket once again.)

Is ZVUE now a deal at these super low prices, or still a crappy stock with no legs?
HandHeld Entertainment’s network of Web sites (eBaumsWorld.com™, Putfile.com™, Holylemon.com™, UnOriginal.co.uk™, YourDailyMedia.com™, Dorks.com™, FunMansion.com™ and ZVUE.com™) now houses more than 850,000 user-generated and commercial videos available for purchase or free viewing, as well as millions of free user-submitted photos and other media, and is expected to deliver nearly one billion page views/video streams in 2007. Keep an eye on ZVUE stock and all future mergers on this company, as they may soon become a big player or potential take over target.
