I’ve been making money online for many years now, but taking the leap starting my own blog earlier this year has been quite a journey. From zero subscriber to over a 1000 in eight months, to receiving emails daily from readers on their excitement to start making money and how much I’ve motivated them… it’s been awesome! With the new blog design that went live this month, I also started running a new widget on the site, ScratchBack. The idea behind ScratchBack, is simply a fun and cool way to tip bloggers/web sites, while getting a little something in return. (a link back to your site). When I placed the ScratchBack widget on my blog, I wanted to bring it even a step further! Instead of just offering a link back to your blog or web site, I also send out a Free MoneyReign T-Shirt to my link partners/tippers. The cost for a ScratchBack link/tip on this blog is $25 for a one week listing, and you’ll also receive the free shirt, I cover the shipping.
Jim Kukral, the creator of ScratchBack is looking for some new ideas on how to create a better looking and more efficient widget for his program, and he’s offering up a cool $200 in cash to the winner. Besides the generic official contest rules, you simply just need to be creative, fun and have some photoshop skills. All entries will be entered into a voting system and a the voting will start at the end of January 2008.

If you haven’t already, take a look a ScratchBack or even grab a link on this blog and I’ll have a free shirt sent out to you right away!

Every year around this time people are starting to eat as much as they, puff an extra smoke here and there, and make the most out of their bad habits before it’s too late. Why is it too late? It’s time for everyone’s annual New Year’s Resolutions of course. Every year millions upon millions of people make the promise to eat better, quit smoking, spend more time with their family and to better themselves. You may even be one of them! (Heck, I promised myself I would dunk this year and didn’t… but I will this time!) The point of the matter is, almost everyone that’s going to make new year’s resolution is going to need a little help… and this is where you can cash in! Here are some of the top New Year’s Resolutions that you can take advantage of.
New Year’s Resolution 1: LOSE WEIGHT!
Who doesn’t want to lose weight and look better?! It’s a promise almost everyone makes every year. As a marketer you can cash in big on this opportunity because who doesn’t want a magic pill or ab roller that can make you look good in only 5 minutes per day! If you aren’t marketing weight loss programs or exercise equipment, now is the time to start! Right now through the end of January is a killer time to setup some new ppc campaigns for weight loss CPA offers, or create your own landing pages or mini sites.
New Year’s Resolution 2: STOP SMOKING!
Smoking is a terrible addiction, and while millions are spending a massive amounts of money on cigarettes, just as many will want to do the same to help themselves quit smoking. There is already a massive market out there targeted just towards smokers. NeverBlueAds is currently running an offer which pays $1 per signup for smokers to fill out a short survey. I’m sure the marketers behind these campaigns will not only send cigarette targeted offers to people who complete the survey, but if they are smart they would also send out programs on how to quit smoking as well. Do a quick search on Google for “Quit Smoking” and you will see there is a massive market for helping people quit their smoking addiction, especially in the ebooks market.
New Year’s Resolution 3: MAKE MORE MONEY!
Everyone wants to make more money. If you are running your own blog or web site, you are probably experiencing this first hand. This resolution can also cover a lot of other areas such as, “Get a new job”, “Start a new business”, “Get out of Debt” and much more. All of these areas are going to be searched more than ever over the next few weeks. Almost every ad network out there has at least one program targeting to these areas. If you have any experience in these areas of marketing or fulfillment, get ready to take advantage of others looking to better themselves.
These were only three of many resolutions that are going to swing the market over the next couple months. Just a few other areas to note are services relating to dating, volunteering and self help. From a marketing standpoint, the big question is… when someone goes online to search for information on how they can keep their new year’s resolution… will your web site come up, or will your competitors? So why not make a new year’s resolution of your own, and promise yourself to take advantage of opportunities like these and move towards making more money than ever in 2008!

A few weeks ago Hannah Montana went up for sale on TicketMaster for a few of her concerts this month in New Jersey. This tickets were nearly impossible to get and sold out within the first 5 minutes of going up for sale. This was even more crazy, because it was a pre-sale which was even more limited to Hannah Montana club members only. I ended up getting two tickets to two of her concerts, one pair with nearly front row seats and the second pair were several rows back. I gave my sister the great seats and had to sell the other pair this week.
If you search eBay, you’ll find a ton of tickets going for sale in the $200-$500 range. I also did some other research and came across StubHub.com, which is another high profile site for buying and selling event tickets. I ended up listing the tickets on both sites to see which sold. This morning I was notified by StubHub that the tickets sold. Using StubHub was extremely easy to list, process and ship out the tickets to the winning bidder, which is mainly what enticed me to write up this post. This leads me to "Make Money Selling Concert Tickets", and there are two different ways.
The first and most obvious method to "Make Money Selling Concert Tickets" is to buy tickets once they go for sale on TicketMaster, then flip or resell them on eBay or StubHub. The advantages to this are you can flip them for a couple hundred bucks and it’s simple enough. Hard part is actually getting any (or at least good) tickets to an event that sells out within a couple mins.
The second method to "Make Money Selling Concert Tickets", is what I’m more interested in… which is the StubHub.com Affiliate Program. They are currently offering 8% through their Affiliate Program. The StubHub affiliate program is inhouse and I just applied to the program today, so I haven’t been able to check out the admin area yet or tracking/linking setup. If someone had sent a visitor to StubHub through an affiliate link and they ended up purchasing my Hannah Montana tickets for $500, the affiliate would have earned $45 off that one referral, which is pretty good for an affiliate program. Affiliate payments are sent out every month, at $20 minimums and are sent through Paypal.
If you have a celebrity or event related web site or blog, you could do really well with this program. As mentioned, I just joined the program today, so I am still waiting to hear back from them on my acceptance. I will push the offer on a few of my sites and keep you updated on it’s earnings and performance.
