AdultFriendFinder, the super popular “risqué” dating network has been purchased by adult entertainment company Penthouse Media Group Inc for $500 million in cash and securities. The deal to purchase Various Inc, includes more than 25 online communities, which has a combined member base of over 260 million people. AdultFriendFinder along as more than 18 million members.

Why does this matter so much? FriendFinder and AdultFriendFinder are one of the largest dating
affiliate programs around and have been around a very long time. With the buyout from Penthouse Media Group Inc, this only brings more stability and money to the company. The growth and success of this company never would have happened without their massive affiliate network in place.

FriendFinder boasts on their affiliate sites, “With over 150 million registered members in the network, it remains the #1 top-paying dating affiliate program 10 years in a row!”. Besides the fact that they are the number one paying company, being able to boast that you’ve had an affiliate program for 10 years is something to be proud of. I personally have never run AdultFriendFinder, but have placed a few banners here and their for their general audience dating networks. Unlike other dating networks that pay per free signup, FriendFinder pays their affiliates in three different options, which you can choose.

I know a lot of people have made a lot of money through FriendFinder programs, and their affiliate admin area has an amazing amount of different banners and creatives to promote on your sites, they even have flash video banners and geo-targeting banners which I hear work amazing.

If you haven’t already, I recommend at least taking a look at their affiliate program and joining.

wow, sounds like a good deal. I've run some adultfriendfinder (pg versions) a bit and liked the recurring payment setup but never got enough signups to make it a huge earner for me. But they do have some amazing payouts for some of the sites they push in the network.

I still haven't gotten into the adult scene yet (though I'd like to try it out) but I do wonder how well adultfriendfinder works on those sites.

I have been trialling Passion.com (another site owned by Various Inc) – it is a little less risque compared to AdultFriendFinder and offers $85 per order.

One word of caution with the payout options though (and one I don't think you mentioned) – if the quality of your traffic is deemed 'poor' (something like less than one free signup in 20 unique visitors, or less than one paying membership out of 25 free signups) then they will retroactively change your program to a percentage payout.

This is something to be aware of, and can take the shine off of the big numbers they appear to be offering at first glance.

    Hey Martin,

Good catch, I forgot to add the performance structure. I remember when I tested them a while ago, they implemented that percentage payout structure.

It looks like a great affiliate program, I am a member and stop promoting it a few months ago. I have $49.00 in my account I think its time to make that final dollar. :) Never been in your blog Zac, I like it!
