Ask Related Search

I just recently read about Ask.com’s plans to announce out their own contextual advertising program to compete with Google and Yahoo. Since I’ve already had a ton of success with Google Adsense and Yahoo Publisher Network, I quickly went to apply for Ask.com Related Search (managed through MediaJump). Within 24 hours of applying, I’ve already been accepted! (I’m just waiting now for full access into their system as they need to check the tracking/html setup). Take a look below for a preview of their search box and top search terms ad layout.

I’m extremely excited about this new program. Yahoo Publisher Network was absolutely amazing when they first came out, and if Ask Related Search is anything like it… I’ll party like there’s no tomorrow! :) To say the least, I’m ridiculously excited about the release of this program and think it will be great! I’ll keep you updated on it’s performance and once I get into the main system. Right now it looks like they are being very picky on who they "manually" approve into the network.

This is a great program. I’ve been in one week and already it’s looking like Ask.com is going to smoke Google as far as my top earners.

I think everyone needs to sign up!

Can anyone point me in the direction of an application for the program?

    Thanks!

Thanks for the link. I applied and was accepted yesterday. I have the ads running now and will be interested to see how they fare.

Is this only applicable to United States? Hopefully I can pull in more revenue from this network =)

No, it’s not only available to sites from the USA. I am from the UK and they contacted me a week or so ago inviting me in.

I am struggling to figure out where to place their ads so at present haven’t gone ahead with the invite. If Zac ends up having a good experience, I will give them a try.

    Do keep us informed, Zac.

I’ll be talking with Ask on the phone tomorrow and should have some new info. My initial stats also update on Monday too.

I’ve found that placing the links in random posts from time to time in a way that makes them look like tags works wonders.

I don’t use them in every post, just posts where I can generate unit with a great keyword.
