A little over a month ago, Jim Kukral wrote a post on how Dwight Schrute (from The Office) has his own bobble head, and why can’t he? Even Jim Cramer has his own bobble head! In the post, Jim also mentioned a new company called WhoopAssEnterprizes, which specializes in the creation of custom bobble heads. Right after I saw the post and their web site, I knew I had to order a bobble head of my own.

WAE has a decent site, and when you fill out the order form, you can go into quite some detail on how you want your bobble head created, along with uploading multiple photos of what you look like. I told WAE, that I wanted the bobble head to look more like the ZacJohnson.com blog toon, than anything else. Here were the first draft sets of images they sent, in the creation of Mini-Zac.

After receiving the the draft pictures, WAE asks if there are any changes you would like made to the design. I approved their design right away, anxiously awaiting their next set of pictures. A few days had passed and I finally received an email with my completed bobble head.

If you’d like to have your own bobble head or mascot on your desk, I’d recommend going with WAE. The price on a custom bobble head is $125, but they’re worth it. Not only did they provide a quality product, but they will keep working with the designs until you are satisfied.

Domain buying can be quite addictive. I have some ridiculous amount of domains… somewhere in the area of 200 various domains… yet I only focus on a select few network sites! Many of them are spur of the moment buys. Either a good domain name I thought of and wanted to grab, or they were for an idea I had, but didn’t get around to developing them into sites. If you are going to house a lot of domains, you need to make sure you have a great domain registrar and not a crappy one like RegisterFly!
Right now I have nearly all of my domains spread across GoDaddy and eNom. I personally love and prefer GoDaddy
and have roughly 150+ domains with them at the moment. One of my favorite features is the ease of picking up new .info domains and using them as auto forwards for testing with new campaigns. Not only are they cheap, but you can also get some nice keyword domains still!
With so many domains, registration and renewal costs really add up quickly. I love coupon codes, with a simple copy and paste you can instantly save you a few bucks! GoDaddy has some great coupon codes and promotions that come around once in a while. Instead of having to search around all the time, I came across a great coupon site at DealTaker, which features a nice set of GoDaddy coupons and updates them often. If you aren’t already, start buying domains through GoDaddy and save with these free coupon codes. I have listed the most recent coupon codes available through DealTaker below:

Today I was thinking, what’s something really cool I could add to my blog that would help make people even more money? Marketing Tools! Everyone loves stats, and even more to try and beat your best numbers. Your stats can be anything from Alexa ranking, where you are listed in the search engines, or even how fast your blog is growing. I put together a quick list of sites that have really been helpful over the past few years. Some of them you may have heard of, some may be new to you. The list is short, but will be continually growing as I come across new sites and hear from you guys with new submissions and feedback. To visit the new "Marketing Tools" page, you can click here or simply find the "Tools" link in the header of all pages. Please feel free to comment with any other cool tools and helpful web sites you have come across.

Everyone has domains they want, but unfortunately they are most likely already registered. I was lucky enough to register my name, Zac Johnson(.com) back in 2000. Unfortunately someone else had my full name of Zachary Johnson(.com). Even though I prefer "Zac" over "Zachary", it would still be cool to have both. Whoever it was that owned ZacharyJohnson.com, just used the site as a one page personal resume. I had emailed the domain owner a few times and asked if he was interested in selling the domain for $500. I sent the email a few more times and never heard back from him. Yesterday, out of the blue I got an email from Pool.com saying the domain ZacharyJohnson.com had dropped and was picked up for my account. How cool is that! Instead of paying the guy $500 for the domain, I just had to wait a couple years and got it for $60, which went to Pool.com just for picking it up! (you only pay pool.com if they actually get the domain for you) I haven’t used Pool.com in a while, but I used to check them almost daily for their latest domain drops and pickups. I had made a list in my account of a bunch of domains that I wanted if they should ever not be renewed. (never expecting to get any of them) Amazingly enough ZacharyJohnson.com was the first domain for it to actually work! I am so happy with Pool.com and highly recommend them to all if you are trying to get that special domain name that is also taken!
