Make Money with Clickbooth’s CPC Platform

ClickBooth is recognized as being one of the leaders in affiliate networks, but what else do they have going on? It’s seems like there is always some new project going on behind the scenes or a new tool that they are offering to their network affiliates. The latest service from the company, is the ClickBooth CPC Platform. The best way to explain the product is, think Google Adsense, with a CPA twist.

As you know, Google Adsense has always been one of the easiest ways for a blog or web site to make money, but not the most profitable. Using the same concept, the ClickBooth CPC Platform allows you to place different ad spots on your site. This ad spot would then rotate and match up relevant content / advertisements for your audience. On the example below, you will see that that Clickbooth‘s CPC Platform allows for thumbnail images along side the ads, which Adsense doesn’t. With CB CPC you have the option to serve Text-only Ads or Text Plus Image Ads. This should help with interest and click through rates on your ad space.

While the ads are rotating different advertisers and CPA offers within the ClickBooth network, you are getting paid on a CPC basis. The offers currently rotating through the banner spots, are a collection of the same offers running on the CB network. I currently have the banner set above to display “Business” oriented advertisements, while on my other entertainment based web site I have “Games” advertisements targeted. The CB CPC platform is still new, but I would like to see a much wider selection of advertisements available, to match with the right user demographic. I’m sure this is currently in the works.

CPA vs. CPC Advertising – Which is Better You?

Serving CB CPC is a good idea for anyone that has traffic that they don’t know how to monetize. Any generic or news related traffic would do well with the ads being served across the network. The CB CPC ads are a good example of the same ads that we see on major news sites and high traffic pages, which are being purchased on a CPM basis, then sends traffic to a flog/testimonial/sales page. These types of ads draw attention and get clicks.

If you have a web site that is already focused on a specific topic and you know what your viewers want, you wouldn’t serve CB CPC on your site. Just like if you were trying to promote a CPA offer through ClickBooth, you should link directly to that offer instead of trying to run CB CPC and see which works better. When you run traffic to offers directly, you can get a better idea of how conversion work.

Bottom line… I think CB CPC would perform best with generic audience web sites, blogs and article directories. While more tight niche web sites should individually pick out what offers they want to choose and promote to their audience.

As mentioned, I’m currently setup with my own ClickBooth CPC account and have placed a few of their CPC banners on a few of my other sites which receive a decent amount of generic traffic. I’ve also thrown one of their banners in the side bar of this blog just for some extra stats. I will follow up with their results compared to Adsense and CPM ad networks during the last week of the month. (Update: Case Study Post Here)

BlamAds – Incentivized Advertising Solution

I don’t remember the last time I’ve seen an ad network take such an effort at branding their logo and name across so many sites in a niche market. A great deal of blogs in the affiliate marketing space have now been tagged with that ever unforgettable mask of BlamAds, a new incentive based affiliate network started by Ryan Eagle (EWA Network).

If you’re already an affiliate of Ryan’s EWA network, you know Ryan knows how to make money for himself and his affiliates. EWA stands out from the massive competition in the affiliate network space not only because they are a private network, but also have a massive amount of offers that work and a support team that wants you to succeed with their campaigns. Ryan sends out training tips and emails every week on what the best offers are to promote, and how. (these are honestly great guides!) Bottom line… top payouts, weekly payments with no minimum and top notch guides and support. EWA for the win.

So why was it important to inform you about EWA when this post is on BlamAds? EWA was Ryan’s first ad network, and after taking what he has mastered in one area, he is looking to replicate in another, which is incentive based marketing. Now let’s focus on the future of advertising and revenue potential with BlamAds!

Incentive Network vs. Regular Ad Networks

If you are familiar with any ad networks, you’ve probably seen offers that allow for incentivization and others that don’t. Usually these type of campaigns will vary in payout, as the users are usually being rewarded in one form or another to sign up for the offer. Farmville and their virtual currency is an excellent example of “incentive based” leads. If a Farmville user wants to get bonus dollars, they can complete and offer such as ordering free business cards from VistaPrint. After completing the transaction, VistaPrint has a new customer, the ad network got paid for the transaction, Farmville (Zynga) get’s a referral commission and the end user gets their VistaPrint purchase, but most importantly their Farmville dollars!

Now that you know exactly how incentivized marketing works, this is the backbone and why BlamAds was created. Other examples include having a form process (co-registration) before accessing a web site (or account creation), virtual currency (Farmville example), or quizes and games. With customization, the BlamAds ad network can be integrated into nearly any platform, idea or concept you have.

BlamAds Revenue Solutions

Affiliate, webmaster, developer or advertiser, BlamAds has a solution for you. Just looking over the options available, it makes me want to start a lead gen web site that requires user signup and demographics, as I know it can easily be monetized through BlamAds. With all of these options, you have the choice of running a Content Locking Gateway, Incentivized offer through their Network, or managing a Virtual Currency Platform.

Instead of running those EMAIL and ZIP offers that you’ve been seeing for years, and earning a dollar for each submit, maybe it’s time for you to start your own content gateway and lead generation site? With BlamAds you now can.

Payment, Support & Blog

While EWA pays out on a weekly basis, the world of incentivized lead gen is a bit different, which requires BlamAds to pay out at a Net30 basis. Payments can be setup through ACH (preferred), Check or Paypal and if you are pushing some serious volume, BlamAds can go the distance and pay a bit faster than the Net30 mentioned. In addition to the support Ryan Eagle and his team always offer, you can check out the BlamAds Blog for updates and ideas on how to make the most out for your ad campaigns.

I’m excited for what BlamAds has in place, and what updates and improvements are on their way. The idea of starting an incentive based site has always been in the back of my mind, but with BlamAds in place, it makes the concept that much easier and attainable.

Have incentivized traffic, or want to change the way you do business online? Try BlamAds.

Free Affiliate Training from Wolf Storm Media

We all know that affiliate networks are still one of the driving forces in the pay per lead industry and also one of the most competitive markets you can get into. Go to any affiliate conference, and if you are an affiliate, the networks will pounce on you trying to get your traffic. Ask why you should run their offers and you will usually get the same answer…”best offers, highest payouts!“. They all promise the same thing, but that game doesn’t work anymore. Network are having to truly focus on being the best around, and coming up with new incentives to bring in new and active affiliates.

One of the most recent networks to get into the affiliate game is Wolf Storm Media. The goal behind Wolf Storm Media, is still to compete with other networks by offering a wide selection of offers at competitive rates, but also to pay all affiliates on a weekly basis (ACH, and earning at least $50). Another focus from Wolf Storm Media is their affiliate training center, which walks affiliate through the process of how to setup new ad campaigns across different platforms, such as Facebook Ads, Plenty of Fish, CPV, Media Buying and more.

There are currently over 400 different ad campaigns to choose from within the network. The majority of them are in the categories of Games, Dating, Mobile and Email Submits. The pay outs on most offers available through the network are in line or slightly higher/lower than other competition networks. Base rates among the networks are never a huge deal, as everything is negotiated on volume. WSM also pays out a 5% commission on all referred affiliates.

We are seeing a growing trend in the affiliate network space over the past recent years. Successful affiliates are moving away from just pushing affiliate offers, to running their own affiliate networks. Wolf Storm Media was started and run by Jeremiah Cooper, who also first started out as an affiliate and now in the affiliate network game. The WSM network is run off the HasOffers platform, which many other networks are also operating off of.

Preview of WSM Affiliate Training Area

Before reviewing the network, I asked Jeremiah what makes Wolf Storm Media different from the majority of other networks out there competing for your business. The response was “Our network is dedicated to training our affiliates in any way we can.“, which can be demonstrated through the affiliate training section setup to WSM network users. Jeremiah also says the following about their affiliate training area “The training area consists of video and text tutorials in several of the affiliate friendly traffic sources.  We also have a private forum for affiliates to use to ask questions, and help each other.  All of our account managers are affiliates as well – and are happy to answer any questions our affiliates have.  We’re here to help affiliates build, scale and optimize their campaigns.“. The last thing I wanted to ask Jeremiah about, was the ability to build out custom landing pages and ad copy for affiliates, to which I was told, “We have several designers that we work close with – and I’m working on setting up a creative services department so that all of our affiliates can use our team to design their creatives and landing pages should they choose to do so.

Wolf Storm Media is one of the most recent networks to go live and compete in a very tough space. If you are a successful affiliate, or even a newbie and still trying to figure things out, WSM promises to take the necessary steps to take you to that next level, or even your first. Deliver Lead Generation the Way You Want with T3 Leads

It’s been a while since I last did a review on T3 Leads Affiliate Network. I was contacted by my rep there and they’ve had a lot of changes and improvements to the system since that last review. A new look and feel, new offers and a variety of promotional methods  is what T3 Leads is all about.

What makes T3 Leads stand out from other networks is how they allow you to capture leads in different ways, and not just giving you a simple url for each ad campaign. Instead, you are given a selection of lead gen forms which you can customize and work with. The new setup at T3 Leads is using a 1 and 2 step process for building out campaigns with lead gen forms. You have the option to host these forms on your own landing pages, or simply send traffic to the advertisers landing page. Full customization includes fields, sizing, placement, one or two step forms and with or without your own landing page creative.

A screenshot of the form selection process from within T3 Leads is shown below.

While the lead gen form process is a pretty cool concept, it’s only available for a limited amount of campaigns. Outside of the lead gen forms, T3 Leads offers more campaigns with banner advertising, host and post options and direct linking.

As you can see from what we went over so far, T3 Leads is focused on lead gen. The majority of offers on their network are towards payday loans, car loans and warranties, home mortgages, debt relief and insurance. A few screenshots of actual offer landing pages can be seen below.

The navigation of the site can be confusing if you are logging in for the first time. I would like to see an easier navigation system and more to the point on how to setup new campaigns, and one click access to view advertiser landing pages. Instead of directly seeing ad campaigns when you log in, you need to go through some sub pages and tracking methods.  (ie: Channels > Public Websites)

Another complication is trying to find what the payouts are on the offers with the network. Since most of these offers are on a lead gen basis, the quality of lead can determine the amount of your commission… so each commission of yours may vary in amount. This however can heavily work for or against you, depending on the type of quality leads you are sending through. If you are sending great data, they are willing to pay a higher range, and this works out for both the network, advertiser and affiliate.

All in all, T3 Leads might not have the best looking admin area but the focus is there. Affiliates want to be able to setup ad campaigns and landing pages how they want, and through T3 Leads and their improved ad platform, this is possible. For anyone in the lead gen business and in the areas discussed earlier, you should get in contact with T3 Leads.

Earn Cash on Auto-Pilot With WP-Answers

How many times have you asked a search engine like Yahoo or Google a question, then you find yourself at a site like Answers.Yahoo.com where someone is asking that same exact question? It happens quite often, and it’s actually been extremely profitable for companies like Yahoo to run these types of sites. Not only are they actual content generating sites from their users, but they also provide a huge value to anyone searching for a topic, then ends up on their site.

Wouldn’t it be cool to have a type of Yahoo Answers site of your own? Now you can with a new wordpress plugin called WP Answers. I first received an email from Oliver, the creator of WP Answers last month. Oliver wanted to show me his new wordpress plugin, how it worked and the amount of traffic and revenue this plugin can actually generate. I loved the idea of the plugin and how powerful it could be in tiny niche markets, or even used to build out a large questions and answers type of site.

You can see a live working version of the theme at the WP Answers Demo. While at first the theme may look very clean and basic, the plugin does allow for a lot of customization and features, includes 6 premium themes, which are loaded with widgets that allow you to play around with logo, header and ad spot customization.

The real meat and power of running a questions/answers site with WP Answers, is it’s ability to grow over time, increase user activity and index very well in the search engines. Build up your own database of users and site loyalty by having visitors register and ask questions. The person who created the question can then award points to the person with the best answer.

GROWING YOUR SITE ON AUTO-PILOT

If you don’t have the time to build up your own site and rely on site visitors for Q&A submissions, you can also pull questions straight from Yahoo Answers using their API. All questions and answers are posted on your site, so it can look like you have a full content and busy site. There is no limit to the amount of search terms you can target, and when posting through Yahoo Answers, your content can be updated hourly, daily or whenever you like.

MONETIZATION AND TRAFFIC

Whether you are going to focus on generating your own traffic and Q&A submissions, you are eventually going to want to make a profit with your site. Outside of selling your 125×125 ad spots on the site, you can also place Google Adsense strategically through out the site. Since your site content is all about detailed questions and topic, all of your ads should be relevant to your visiting traffic.

Building a site around questions and answers is also great for search engine traffic. Every day millions of people are flocking to search engines to answer their every day questions about pretty much anything. How many of these questions could be syncing up with your own Q&A site? The bottom line is, WP Answers will drastically help send traffic to your site. You can see a stats chart from one of Dale’s site’s which is doing extremely well using WP Answers, and his growth from search engine traffic.

Another method for generating revenue, is through the WP Answers affiliate program, where you earn 35% of all sales, which can be up to $87 per sale.

20% DISCOUNT COUPON CODE

WP Answers is a quality product and I look forward to playing around with it more on a few sites of mine. Oliver was also kind enough to offer ZacJohnson.com readers an exclusive coupon to save 20% off your purchase. The current price for WP Answers ranges from $80 to $249 depending on your license purchase, so a 20% discount will definitely help. Use coupon code “ZACJOHNSON567” at the time of check out.
