Jounce: The Informational Hub for Affiliate Marketing

I’ve always wanted to start my own affiliate directory site. Not only are they a great resource for affiliates, but you can actually make some decent money off networks advertising on the site in addition to any referrals you send their way. Jounce.com knows what I’m talking about! (For anyone curious… “Jounce” is a real word and means “To shake or jolt, bounce, bump…”) They’ve put together a really great search directly that has nearly every affiliate offer out there.

When is the last time you created a site and need to find a product specific affiliate offer. In the past you would have to log in to every network you are an affiliate with, search through their offers and hopefully find one that matches. With Jounce, you simply visit their main page, type in your “search query” and you will get a list of relevant offers, along with their payout and what network they are on.

Here are a couple videos to better explain the process and show the true power of Jounce.

Jounce Search Results and Usage

It’s free and easy to create an account using Jounce, it only takes a Name, Email and Password. Once you are in the account area you can then add any networks you work with to easily generate tracking urls within the Jounce site. The whole layout and navigation of the site is put together nicely. After doing a search, it’s easy to see what offers are available, their respective network and payouts. Once you click on an actual offer, you are then sent to an even more detailed page filled with EPCs, Payout Structures and you can generate your own affiliate link within a few clicks. You can see the search results for “dating” in the screenshot below.

Jounce only recently went live, and planned their launch around the same time as Affiliate Summit last month in NYC. If you weren’t able to meet up with the Jounce crew at Affiliate Summit, be sure to check out their blog which is loaded with pictures and information from the event. It’s always good to see the faces of the people behind great companies and sites.

It seems that we occasionally see affiliate search engines and directories come and go. There is a lot of attention in the beginning, then for some reason they seem to fizzle out. Jounce has a great platform here and if they continue to update and form new business relations with quality companies, I can their efforts and success going a long way. There is always a lot of money to be made in the lead gen business.

Search Current Trends and What’s Now Relevant

How many times have you searched for a topic on Google, then a bunch of the top ranked listed are all from several years ago? This happens a lot when you are looking for generic information. The sites have become indexed so well because of their authority and their content was great back then… but it would really be nice to get some current articles sometimes.

Curt Dalton, the creator of Internet Time Machine, knows exactly what we are talking about, and that’s why he has created NowRelevant.com. Instead of creating another search engine to compete with the big guys, NowRelevant.com was created to provide only search results that have come out in the past 14 days.

Search for anything on NowRelevant and you will be provided with only the most recent search listings. If you are looking for more/less results, you can simply move the slider bar to adjust how far back in time you would like your results to include. NowRelevant is a great solution for anyone searching for the latest information on a product or topic, as they will get a completely different search result vs. Google, Yahoo or Bing. (

At times you may even think that your blog or name isn’t indexed at all. If you search for “Zac Johnson” you will get a ton of search results and none for ZacJohnson.com on the first page. If you narrow it down to “Zac Johnson Affiliate Marketing”, you will in fact see that this blog is indexed. Once a new blog post goes live on the blog, it’s likely to then appear in the most recent results. Try this with your name and blog, see what results show up.

How to Make Money with NowRelevant

Search engines are created for revenue generation, though most of them want you to think it’s all about results. As you can see from the search results below, there are text and banner ads shown on the right side of the search results. There are two different ways you can start making money with NowRelevant, using them as an affiliate or an advertiser. Refer new advertisers to NowRelevant and you will earn a 20% commission through their affiliate program, or simply start placing ads on their search network for even more revenue potential.

What makes advertising on NowRelevant a lot more interesting than other search engines, is their use of text links, graphical banner ads and even videos. I setup an ad campaign on the network with banner ads and only targeted a few high traffic keywords. The click traffic is low, as the site is still fairly new. The minimum price per click is only 3 cents. If you take the time to setup a few ad campaigns and target as many relevant keywords as you can, you may be able to find some nice roi since there is little to no competition at this time and at only .03 per click, your ad will appear at the top of nearly all results.

The Future of NowRelevant

Is NowRelevant.com out there to top Google and become the best new search engine? No, I don’t think so… but they are tapping into a niche area that could be useful for bloggers, seo marketers and anyone interested in only finding “what’s hot right now”. Running off the backbone of The Internet Time Machine, it definitely has potential for success, but NowRelevant will also need to focus on bringing in a large user base to satisfy the advertisers’ needs… which in the end really decide the success of a search engine.

Try it out and let me know what you think. NowRelevant.com.

New Business Cards from Print24

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Print24. All opinions are 100% mine.

I recently had the opportunity to order new business cards through Print24.com. It’s always nice to try out new services, as over the past several years, I always used Vista Print for my printing. Here’s a review on the Print24 web site, what they have to offer and how my new business cards ended up.

Once you get to the Print24 web site, you are given a full menu right on the main page. Depending on what product you select, all of the pull downs and setup will automatically update so you can start customizing your print work. Instead of going with my current business card design, I decided to create a new one. If you have a pdf/jpeg or file for an existing design, it’s really simple to just import the file, then order cards.

Going through the actual design process and creating a new card gave me the opportunity to see what Print24 has to offer. As mentioned, I currently have my own premium business cards with front and back, high quality paper from a while back, but wanted to create something different. It’s always a good idea to order more business cards, even if you have them just as a back up, or for when you don’t want to give our your best cards, or your full information.

I went through the design section, picked the “business” category and went through their massive display of options. Next I fill in my text, changed the font design and added in my own company logo to the left of the card. I was skeptical in the beginning on how well the card would end up, but I think it’s pretty cool in the end.

Here is the design I came up with after playing around in the design section. Unfortunately my scanner would not display the best of quality / color on the design, but you get the idea.

Quality of Business Cards:
Once the cards arrived, they came back as designed and expected. When I created the cards on the site, I went with the basic paper quality they offered, and no design on the back. If I was to create more professional cards that I would be handing out for business, I would go with the higher quality and create a back design. With a new card design, I would probably order some additional stationary as well. Everyone likes having their own company paper!

250 Free Business Cards:
Print24 currently has a promotion for 250 free business cards. For anyone who attends conferences or exhibit halls, and doesn’t want to throw their high quality cards away in the prize buckets, this is a great alternative. Create a quick business card with your information and throw these into the prize boxes instead. It’s always good to have extra business cards lying around the office anyway.

As a customer of Print24, I would like to see the following changes to the site:
- Right when you get to the site, there are so many options thrown at your face that it can get overwhelming. The same thing happens along the design/ordering process. I really like how other sites break down the design process and span if over a page or two more.

- Ordering: I was disappointed when I got to the order form page and saw that Print24 did not accept American Express, the preferred card for many business owners. It may cost a bit more to process orders, but it might also be losing customers.

- Affiliate Program: Since we are in the affiliate marketing industry, I still find it amazing that some companies don’t take advantage of cpa business. I did not see an affiliate program form Print24 anywhere, but I think this could easily increase their business, and another option they should look at.

In the end, the order process and business cards received from Print24 was a success. I would have no problem with using their print services again.

Easily Search Affiliate Offers from Top Networks

Earlier in the year I came across a new site called OfferVault, which helped you compare cpa offers across a bunch of affiliate networks. Mark Roth, the owner of the site, recently contacted me and let me know about some of the changes and improvements to the site since then. If you saw the previous site design, you will notice a huge improvement right away. The old design didn’t have much of a color scheme, and I found it a bit confusing on where to signup or access the search area for current members. The new design puts all that confusion to rest and provides much more.

What’s new and what’s better?
The original concept for the site was mainly to provide a search database of affiliate offers across networks. Since I last checked out the site, Mark has doubled the size of the networks he lists in his database. The majority of names to choose from, are ones you probably already know Clickbooth, Market Leverage, and Rextopia. I feel the main attraction OfferVault, is there affiliate offer search, but new additions have been added to the site as well.

Live Member Search Tool and Keyword Function
Ever wonder what other people are searching on, or just need some inspiration to get in a niche? A cool feature of OfferVault is the “scrolling search feed” when you are at the “compare offers” page. It doesn’t tell you how others are pushing offer, just what they are searching, but it still may help you find that next niche you were looking for.

Once you come across an offer worth looking at, you can click on the “KW” option next to the offer and it will bring up a listing of relevant keywords. This usually takes around 30 seconds to pull a report together. It’s not just a few keywords, but it shows “keyword groups”, advertiser competition and search volume.

Full Offer Breakdown
Everything is in place on OfferVault for you to find the offer you are looking for. In the past, you could find the offer, but then it was a hassle to see the landing page and you would end up opening new windows, etc. With the platform, once you make a search and find an offer, click it and everything is there for you. A quick offer/network description, payouts and the landing page right on that same page. An excellent looking setup, and big improvement to their site.

The “NEW” OfferVault
As explained, all of the improvements are here to make this a really great resource site, and that’s exactly what it is. The goal of the site is to make it easy for you to find new affiliate offers, at competitive rates, and while offering a bit of resources and training along the web. Over the past few months, OfferVault has also added a weekly webinar series. Once you are a member, they are free to watch and cover everything from PPV traffic, Facebook Advertising and Google Adwords. Some of these videos go well over an hour, and are free to all members.

Here’s the part of the post where I’m supposed to throw out a kicker or trial offer. Fortunately that’s not necessary. OfferVault is FREE! There is no upsell and you gain instant access to their directory. After being a member, and if you decide to join a new network through their site, OfferVault may get a referral commission. With this structure in place, they can offer you a free member.

Please take a look at the New OfferVault and let me know what you think.
