Can you give me some examples of advertising with Banners & Text??

From my understanding when using banners is you find a blog/website that is promoting weight loss or a similar niche and pay for advertising for that banner?? like what you have on your blog “advertise on Zac Johnson”

Now onto to text. Does this refer to having a blog/website and write for example an article on losing weight/weight loss, etc. and promoting a link [redirect] to Nutrisystems landing page within the article??
