Top Commenters Contest

To inspire a bit more interaction with ZacJohnson.com and the blog community, I’m going to hold a "Top Commenter Contest" during the month of May. As a top commenter you will automatically be listed on the right side of the page, which is certain to help with indexing of your site in the search engines. These "top commenter" links are recognized as regular content text links, so it will not only help with your search engine indexing, but will also send new traffic and readers to your blog. At the end of the month, the top three commenters will be rewarded for their participation on the blog. First place will receive $25, second place will receive $15 and third place will receive $10. (payable through paypal)
Why am I doing this? While the blog is still in its infancy and growing rapidly, I would like to keep all of my readers motivated by providing their feedback on my blog. As you submit comments, please keep posts on topic and avoid blog post spamming. Any obvious spamming of comments will be removed.

"With great power comes great responsibility".... my Uncle Ben told me that. Haha, just kidding! I'm Zac Johnson and I've been making money online for over 10 years now. In short, I started making money online while I was in high school... but my passion for marketing and making money goes back way earlier than that. I created ZacJohnson.com to help motivate you to start making money online, and live the life the you always dreamed of.
In light of the new commentator contest, I am shamelessly posting a comment. Good contest, great way to stimulate interaction between you and your readers. I’m thinking of installing the top commentator plugin as well.
ReplyHow shameful of you!
ReplyAnother John Chow’s Inspiration?, but it is great certainly, congratulations!
Replytop comments plugins almost seen to artificially inflate your blog’s true value though… ehh what the hell, comment on!
Replyjohn chow… nice guy but sometimes misinformed
Replyoh and zac, you should go and edit your plugin’s php to not include you in the top commentators
ReplyCount me in! Count me in!
ReplyIf you ever decide you like my blog to do a paid review check my out on Review Me, rates are still low at $60, but traffic and ranking is good.
Or we could do a review in exchange for a review.
Or a guest post on each others blog. Whichever one your interested let me know. I’d love to do something iwth you Zac.

ReplyGreat idea! I’m certainly glad John Chow reviewed your site, you have lots of great information here
ReplyWhat a genious idea!
ReplyThanks, I’ll make that change
I would’t have counted anyway.
Replysounds good
I love top commentor competitions
subscribed to you from chows review
ReplyAwesome contest! I usually always browse and hover around sites, but this will definitely get me posting. Thanks for even having something like this.
I hope to get to know all of you a bit better.
ReplyI just have a quick question, what happens if I want to post comments to previous blog entries, like entries from April? They won’t count right?
ReplyAll comment posts count… to new posts or old.
ReplyZac, shouldn’t you exclude yourself from the top commentator’s list?
ReplyHe has said that he is going to exclude himself in an earlier comment
ReplyAwesome because there are some blog entries I had wanted to comment on but I was too lazy or something.
Replycare to expand on that?
ReplyZac It is like you have the marketing fishing hook and you are trying to reel us someway or another. Well I am hook.
ReplyThanks for the advice, particulary for pointing the way to NeverBlueAds and TAF Master.
ReplyI just posted the above comment and received two error messages from Microsoft IE: “Stack Overflow” and “Script running slowly.”
ReplyI received those pop-ups too David, I just click OK and ignore them though.
Replyyou should switch to Firefox cos i am not getting those error.
Replyif not, zac is gonna end up as the top commentator and win himself $25. Isn’t this funny?
ReplyI noticed this too… trying to find out what is causing this.
ReplySo many don’t feel like posting or are too intimidated to leave a comment. And there is the fact that more traffic means more money. Smart guy. So shamelessly promote your blog by dangling money in front of us. Works for me!
Replylol.. dangling money works well for me too..
Replycount me in… but not for the top commenter contest..
I’m surprised the top commentor only has 6! Does the count get refreshed every month?
ReplyWhat a great idea! I may have to steal it once I can afford to give away a dime!
Replyok the conest is over, doesn’t matter, but a really nice (and a little bit crazy) idea
- good luck for the future
ReplyI think such thing will deliver your blog only spam topics and items which are absolutely irrelevant for your topic, I think. Otherwise it is increasing the participation of your visitors dramatically which is nice to see.
ReplyIt is a pity, but I seem unable to take part in this competition …
Reply[...] the best link reciprocity yet. Money and Links! What more can you ask for? Another contest maybe? Well Zac Has that to! so go review Zac’s blog to get the link and possible cash [...]
