Once you find success with your business, it’s just as hard to stay profitable if not harder than actually getting started in the first place. I came across a great video from Aimee Elizabeth, author of the new book â€œPoverty Sucks!â€, where Aimee recalls her childhood as a homeless teen, and tells how her personal drive led her to become a multimillionaire and retire before the age of 40.
What I really liked about the video was how should covers what she learned on the streets while being homeless and related them to business and how she became a millionaire today. Much of this advice can apply to online marketers as many of us forget the simple principles that got us here in the first place. It’s easy to fall into the hype, success and dreams of what your business can become and with the internet dramatically changing over night you can be making thousands of dollars one day and losing thousands of dollars the next.

– Getting Money to Show Up in the Mail
Of course everyone’s dream is to just have checks show up in the mail! While this is impossible if you don’t do anything for it, through the power of the internet you can actually make this happen. What other industry or business can you work from virtually anywhere and have checks sent right to your house or deposit right into your bank account? Not too many, which is why running a business on the internet has become one of the most sought after jobs in the world today!
– Be as Frugal as You Can Be
As mentioned earlier, in the world of internet marketing you can be a king one day and a pauper the next. This means it’s always a good idea for you to be stashing your profits in a safe place while also investing in your business. Don’t fall into the hype and blow your monthly profits on fast cars, clothes, women and a lifestyle you can’t afford.
– Don’t Have Overhead
Just like you can run an internet business from virtually anywhere in the world, you also don’t need to have a fancy office, a ton of employees or all of the expenses they come with. I’ve done everything as a one man company for over 15 years now and you can too. When it comes time for you to increase productivity and efficiency, look into outsourcing and bringing in a virtual assistant versus hiring a full time employee and staff.
