Creative Advertising Tactics for Targeting Odd Holidays
In the world of online marketing and business, there is no limit to the creativity that you can come up with to bring in new business and interactions with your web sites, blogs and social networks. One of the best ways to make money is through the use of evergreen content, which means it will always be in need and have a demand from customers. A great concept for evergreen content is to target holidays. They happen every year and people are searching for the same stuff year after year.
We are going to feature a couple different ways that you can target holidays and create fun and interesting ad campaigns that related with your audience.
While it’s not really considered a holiday, Black Friday does more business than any other day of the year. The best way to make money from this day is to create a coupon and news related site to deliver sales and promotions to your customers. If you can earn a commission on all referred sales, all the better! You have two options when it comes to building sites around Black Friday and coupon promotions… you can go wide scale and cover everything out there or go niche and focus on select brands and stores.
Cinco de Mayo
You probably aren’t going to be able to make much money off this holiday unless you own your own bar and sell drinks… but in a more creative way you can sell cinco de mayo shirts. As much fun as it would be to go out with your friends and party, it would be even more fun to be dressed for the occasion! This same practice can be applied to most holidays and fun events that people may want to buy tshirts for.
Another well known holiday, but known so much for making money. There are plenty of funny gifts and gags stores on the internet and this is a perfect opportunity for you to cash in on the action. A more well known method for using April Fools day to drive traffic and sales is to come up with a creative link bait or story that grabs a lot of attention and can lead to more sales and brand awareness. This is something that Google usually does and puts a lot of effort in every year.
When you think about holidays you probably weren’t thinking about the one’s I’ve listed above. Now that you have some new ideas flowing through your mind, think about some new and creative ways you can make money online and market to your audience.

like seriously, for me these are all cool info and they're an eye opener for me because the chances of needing to consider this is really not know to me. i will like to refer them as a strategic way/techniques of earning additional income as one is required to position his/her self for the lovely opportunities.
There's also a lot of scope to market around major sporting events such as the Superbowl. If you have an international audience the soccer world cup is HUGE in Latin America and Europe. The next one is in Brazil next year, we've got 12 months to plan our marketing campaigns 🙂
