How to Play Poker Like a Rockstar
Think back five to ten years ago… if you wanted to play some poker you had two options; call over a few friends, or head over to your nearest casino. Now, through the power of the internet, you can play poker and win/lose money from the comfort of your own home! Poker is now bigger than ever and everyone wants to get in on the action!
My good friend Neil Patel is about to take the online poker world by storm with his new blog, Online Poker Lowdown, where he covers everything from learning how to play poker, to mastering the arts of bluffing, and teaching others how to master the game without having to lose their wallets.
Being a close friend of Neil for many years now, I already know that everything he touches turns to gold, so I’m very excited to see what Neil has in store for his readers at OnlinePokerLowDown.com.
Are You the Next Poker Rockstar in the Making?
Just like building a business, learning how to win at poker takes a lot of time and effort. That is why Neil created Online Poker LowDown, to help you learn the game and become a poker pro! Whether you’ve won or lost thousands of dollars playing poker, or just play for fun, you need to download Neil’s free guide to learning how to play poker like a rockstar.
The best way to get good at poker is by playing it, alot!… but Neil sums it up best in the following…
At first I tried to read as much information online about poker, but I couldn’t find one good website that could help you go from not knowing anything about poker to becoming an expert.
After a while I just gave in and decided that I would get good at it by playing in countless tournaments and games. And I have to say it worked really well. The problem was I lost over $13,000 before I started to get good at the game.
For that reason, I decided to start Online Poker Lowdown. And as I mentioned earlier, although I can’t guarantee that you’ll win the next WSOP, if you decide to join the Online Poker Lowdown community I can promise you 3 things:
1.   You’ll become a poker rockstar – if you are willing to put the time and effort into getting good at poker, I promise that I’ll do everything in my power to make you a poker rockstar. From teaching you about the basics to helping you with advanced poker strategy.
2.   I’ll save you money – I can’t guarantee that you won’t lose money, but I’ll help you avoid the dumb mistakes I made so you won’t have to spend $13,000 to get good at poker.
3.   I’ll never brag – a lot of people like talking about how much money they make playing poker. You’ll never have to worry about that with me because it does no good for me to brag. Just think of it this way, if I told you how I made thousands dollars playing poker will it help you make thousands of dollars? No! So there is no point in me bragging.
Don’t have $13,000 to blow on playing poker? Download Neil’s free guide “How to Win Heads Up” and subscribe to his RSS blog feed for all future posts and poker updates. Let me know what you think!
Well, I have no idea how to play poker but yes I want to learn since I was the movie "Casino Royale". So I think this blog would be quite helpful for me…. cool:
It's a fun game to play. At first I didn't know how to play either and it looked a bit confusing, but it's very easy to learn and get addicted!
Playing poker really well is about time and effort. And skill. OK…and having money to lose so Neil's system seems pretty cool.

Poker can definitely take a while to play. I've always loved faster games like craps and roulette… unfortunately the odds are always against you in these games. Poker has some skill involved.

Yes I'm sure it will be quite a successful poker blog. In all honesty, he should've launched that site a few years ago, but poker is still extremely popular. There is a ton of money to be made in that niche.
Definitely, I'm sure if he launched a while back it could have been huge by now, but I'm sure it will still grow fast and have a nice following in no time.

I notice Neil lives in Seattle. Does he understand that online poker is a felony in the state of Washington. It is also a felony to refer anyone to the online sites. I think he better rethink this project before it gets shut down or worse.
I don't know about the legalities, but it's a mess. There are hundreds of poker shows on TV every day pushing users to their sites and saying its FREE to signup, but they also have the option to play for real money when they are logged in and setup with an account. I'm sure Niel has a good idea of what's allowed and what's not.
Yes Neil seems very intelligent. So I'm sure he would not jump into this niche without some way of dealing with the legalities. He could use the same loopholes as everyone else and refer people to the play money side of poker sites.
Maybe Niel will come out with some cool shirts for the blog and give them away!

Do you really want to take advice on poker from someone who has lost $13,000? just sayin…
well he lost 13k and then got better and better. and now he probably teaches you how not do it. just sayin.. 🙂
Takes money to make money. I see your point… but Niel is trying to make the point that he put in enough time and testing to become a great poker player. His goal is to save you the time and money he spent to learn how to play poker effectively.
I'm sure his lesson would be extremely valuable to poker addicts
Why do you think the world poker tour lost a lot of their following?
I have no idea how to play this game, and i think this kind of game is fun so I want to learn how to play poker, can give me some tips or ideas how?
Thanks for this information.
After he lost his best was better than 13k. and now it's probably not how you teach
I never could get the hang of poker. 21 or blackjack…I get it. Maybe I should try video poker more.
Excellent, really
Hi there,
as for me I have been wagering at the online casino games (blackjack and video poker) only, but never tried poker games and still afraid of them as there are so many rumours about the poker bots.

There are so many online-guides for playing poker, that you can't really distinguish one from the other… I would suggest buying one of the many books published by prominent professional poker players, and practicing around the living-room table with your mates on weekends. The truth is the most online poker tables are played at a much higher speed than off-line poker. Once you feel you have formed a good strategic game, go ahead and move to online poker, where you will have to implement your skill and adapt it to the online format.
