Ranking the Top 25 Web Hosting Companies

When it comes time for you to start your own web site or blog, choosing a web host is no easy task. The last thing you want to do is start looking through the search engines and comparing the different costs and services offered by all of the hosting companies. It will make you crazy and at the end of the day, the few pennies in savings isn’t worth the chance at signing up with a hosting company that no one had heard of.

So who are the top hosting companies on the internet today?

Surely you’ve heard of the big name players like GoDaddy, HostGator and Network Solutions, but they aren’t all cracked up to what you might think. GoDaddy was recently in the news for getting hacked and temporarily shutting down around 50 million domain names and sites they were hosting. Network Solutions has been around forever, but they are just expensive. Then there are another several hundred hosting services out there that fall somewhere in between.

One name on the top 25 list that is continually mentioned in the affiliate marketing and blogging world is HostGator. These guys have low rates that nearly anyone will appreciate, yet they also have the most amazing customer service around. This is just a perfect example of how important it is not to always base service on prices. Someone who signs up for a $7 a month hosting package is getting the same high quality service as someone who is paying $100 a month for a dedicated server.
