Affiliate Marketing and Blogging — Where We Are Headed

For the majority of the past two decades, I’ve made most of my money online through the use of affiliate marketing and blogging — both are still killer opportunities today for anyone who is interested in putting in the time and effort.

In short, affiliate marketing is the concept of making money online by referring a lead or sale to another brand or website. As the affiliate marketer or site owner, there is no need to hold any inventory or process any sales, all you need to do is redirect traffic from your site or landing page, and then earn a commission on each legitimate sale or lead that comes through.

Blogging can mean a lot of different things, depending on your experience. For the most part, I like to just consider any form of content creation and WordPress usage as ‘blogging’. It just makes the concept a whole lot easier.

However, there is a whole world of information and techniques out there for how to start a blog, make money with one, and why it’s still a great opportunity today.
