Zac Johnson Responsive Blog Design 4.0

Exciting times are here! It’s a new year, everyone is making money  and new years resolutions! Affiliate Summit West just ended in Las Vegas and I was able to meet up with some old friends and finally put a face to a bunch of my blog readers. Also quite exciting, the latest version of the ZacJohnson.com blog design is now live.

I’ve very excited about this new blog design for several reasons… which I’ve highlighted below.

  • Zac Johnson Responsive Blog ThemeRESPONSIVE THEME
The previous design was awesome definitely my favorite up until this new design. The problem was that it wasn’t a responsive theme and didn’t load well on mobile devices. This new theme loads fast, reads well and just have a great look and feel to it. (mobile view of blog to the right)
  • LESS ADS, MORE CONTENT
I am very excited about not only 2014, but also for the new blog theme because it also brings a new life and a boost in rejuvenation to make the blog even better than before. You will notice that the blog currently has less ads placed through out the site and more content right in the face of the reader.
  • IT’S ALL ABOUT SOCIAL
I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve never focused a ton of effort on social media, but I’ve been getting better at it. Through the use of the new blog design I will continue to focus my efforts on growing my social reach and increasing blog engagement and reader comments.
  • NEW COMMENTING SYSTEM
I’m still working on various improvements for blog placement and engagement. Once of them is to remove IntenseDebate and start using Disqus on the site. IntenseDebate was a nice platform, but annoying to log into their system to manage comments. I’ve been meaning to switch over for a while now.
  • THE “ZAC JOHNSON” BRAND
At the end of the day it’s all about the “Zac Johnson” brand and that’s what’s most important to me. With a new boost of life to the blog you can expect to see better content and more often. I originally wanted to come into the new year and have a new blog post go live on ZacJohnson.com every day, but that would put the content at risk just for the sake of posting. I have some awesome post concepts in the works. Expect to see more guides, tutorials, courses and case studies on how to improve your online business, branding, conversions and profits.

The New ZacJohnson.com Blog Design

Below you will see a collection of previous blog designs for ZacJohnson.com, and surprisingly they each keep getting better! This latest design is still my favorite yet. I was hesitant to scrap the previous design, but after working with my designer for the past several months, I’m very excited for the future growth of the blog.

The previous design was running off Genesis, but this latest design is completely custom. I will soon be launching a full web design service through a partnership with my designer, so if you are looking to get a new and updated responsive theme like this one, just shoot me an email through the contact form.

As we enter the 8th year of ZacJohnson.com we are now four different designs into the site. This has been quite consistent with a new redesign every two years. Redesigns are important for all businesses and brands, especially on the internet when browsing capabilities are vastly changing, especially as more people use mobile devices for internet viewing.

2014 is the Year of FOCUS

Many of you probably noticed that I had been selling off a bunch of my sites. This is because I was spreading myself too thin and not being able to focus on what matters most. It’s always good to take a step back and look at where you are spending your time and removing the clutter. As online marketers it’s extremely easy to get distracted with new projects, so we have to remind ourselves all the time to focus only on the project that make the most money or provide the most value for ourselves. In my case it’s ZacJohson.com and a handful of other sites.

Zac Johnson Focus

As mentioned earlier, the new blog is live but I still have a lot of tweaks and improvements to come. Feel free to leave your thoughts, recommendations and comments below and I will be sure to respond an implement any new ideas!

  1. Zac, I like your new design! I tried it out on my phone and it looks great. I definitely need a new design for my site, as I'm just using one of the free themes from WP right now – mainly to just get my site up and running. Having a responsive theme is definitely important these days with mobile browsing use increasing exponentially. I might have to check back to see what your prices will be once you get your design service up and running!

  2. Hi Zac, its good to move with the times. The features of the new Zac Johnson's blog design meet with the demands of the moment: more contents for engagement and mobile responsive to improve user experience.

I agree with your take on Focus and perhaps changing the Zac Johnson responsive blog design is one way to stay focus in 2014!
The new design is truly less clustered with ads and offer users more opportunities to engage.

  4. Hi there to you Zac!

Congrats for the new change. Good thing you have changed your blog, web design. More responsive both web and mobile. That is the aim of every wise and smart blogger if they really wanted to reach their audience. And I like your goal this 2014, FOCUS! 🙂
