3 Useful Tools to Help You Score that Next Big Client

On the internet, everyone is on a level playing field. There is no other business landscape in the world where someone working from home on their computer can compete with a multi-billion dollar company and win time and time again. I’m not saying it’s easy or that it happens all the time, but it is possible. This is the reason why everyone wants to be an entrepreneur these days, and why more people are flowing into the world of affiliate marketing as well.

With this in mind, it’s always important to realize that finding success on the internet with a business is more about resources you use and relying on numbers more than anything else. It’s not a matter of if someone is going to buy advertising on your site, or if someone is going to purchase your product — it’s a matter of who and how many.

This is where your advertising, outreach and getting creative with your marketing will come into play. For freelancers, bloggers and smaller businesses that don’t have a massive budget to spend on costly keyword advertising or mass media buying, there are plenty of outreach and research tools to help with this process. Here are a few you can start putting to use today.

Find Anyone’s Corporate Email Address in Seconds

Imagine how much more effective your time and outreach could be if you went directly to the source. We all know and use LinkedIn for business connections, but it can be a huge pain when it comes to getting someone to approve your content request, and then you still need to hope they actually check their account and DMs coming through. LinkedIn is great… but email is still one of the best ways to get immediate results.

One site that is changing the way email research and outreach is taking place is Voilanorbert. Through their email address finder solution, all it takes is a simple personal name and company search and you will be provided with the direct email address of the individual you are looking for.

When you create an account on their site you will get 50 leads for free. Once you run out, you can sign up for one of their plans, or simply pay as you go at just .10 per email search. Try it out and see who you might find the direct email address for.

Impress with Fancy Proposals and Documents

Many freelancers, bloggers or individual marketers are good at creating content and making money online. However, that doesn’t mean that have all the bases covered for when it comes to making new agreements or impressing potential clients and advertisers. In the corporate world, people still like to see professional documents, proposals, invoices and much more — which is something many smaller businesses and brands might not necessarily have in place.

The good news is, gone are the days when you need to hire a professional designer to come up with a fancy letterhead or proposal for your next client. By using a proposal software solution like PandaDoc, anyone can create an account and start building out their own proposals in seconds, while also not requiring any technical skills in the process.

While looking through the collection of templates and pre-built proposals on their site, I was impressed with the selection and quality of the PDFs. As you can see in the screenshot below, many of these proposals would fit perfectly into any online marketing, blogging or social media outreach type of business. The filler content is already provided within each proposal, it’s simply up to the end user or company to tweak the data and make it fit their own needs.

Membership plans start at $19 a month, which provides up to five different templates, unlimited docs and e-signatures, custom branding and email support.

2 Billion+ Personal Interests through Facebook

Facebook just recently passed the 2 billion member mark. While most people are using Facebook just as a way to be on the social platform and connect with friends, it’s can also be an extremely valuable resource for business and networking as well.

Outside of the traditional means of connecting with people and chatting with them through direct messages on Facebook, the real value here is getting to know someone on a more personal level and what they are interested in. In the world of quick second emails and first impressions that need to last, knowing what your next potential client or big contact has personal interests in can go a long way. More often than not, business deals are made over ‘real conversations’ and not through pitching or template based emails.

So what’s the next step here? Spend some time on Facebook and start building connections with other people in your industry that you might be able to work with. Don’t approach them with a pitch right away. Instead, first take a look at what they are writing about, posting pictures on and have a passion for — then maybe start a discussion up in this area.

Best of all, Facebook is free and the knowledge and opportunities provided through it are priceless!

Outreach and First Impressions are Key

When running a business online, always remember that we are all on an equal playing field — some just play it a little better than others. First impressions and the right type of outreach are always going to be key when creating new opportunities and business for your brand. It doesn’t matter if you are a blogger making a few hundred dollars per month, or a full-service company with hundreds of employees. Implementing any or all of the recommendations and tools shown above is a great way to give yourself an extra edge over the competition.

Create an Affiliate Store with WooCommerce, WordPress and Datafeedr

Of the many different ways to make money online, one of the hottest crazes right now in the world of affiliate marketing and online business is starting an online store. The reason why this market is so hot right now is that often times you won’t need to hold any inventory, deal directly with customers or even collect payment. This all depends on the type of online store or e-commerce site you want to create, but in short — the technology and software solutions are now in place to make it easy enough for anyone to get set up and live in no time.

One such tool, Datafeedr allows WordPress users to simply, quickly, and seamlessly create an affiliate store by connecting with more than 30 different affiliate networks and 13,000 merchants from around the world.

Let’s take a look at what Datafeedr has to offer, and how you can start earning money with an ecommerce or online store of your own.

Datafeeder Offers a Powerful Suite of WordPress Plugins

We are all already familiar with the success and power of WordPress, but it’s still something I have to stress all the time. The free CMS has created millions of smaller businesses, applications, themes, plugins and much more — ultimately making it possible for anyone to create any type of website or online business they like.

The same applies with Datafeedr and how they have made their integration with WordPress simple, fast and seamless — which allows site owners to focus on the content and promotion of their site, and not the technicalities of setting a custom solution up.

With all of that in mind, Datafeedr provides much more than just integration with WordPress — they are essentially providing a full affiliate marketing and shopping solution out of the box. At the same time, Datafeedr has a wide range of tools and features that they offer to all of their users, but they also have a system in place that allows for the access to individual plugins, components, and features as well. This is where the customization of features really comes into play.

Once connected with Datafeedr, site owners will have access to over 30 affiliate networks and over 13,000 merchants from some 20 countries around the globe. This type of access is a much for anyone looking to compete in the world of online shopping, coupons, e-commerce and product sales.

As an active affiliate, you should instantly recognize many of the names on the supported networks list that Datafeedr works with. Some of the more popular networks on the list include Clickbank, Conversant, Rakuten Linkshare and Shareasale.

To get started with the setup and integration process, site owners will need to connect with the Datafeedr API plugin which allows for integration to your WordPress site. Once this is in place, you can start playing around with the functionality and customization of other plugins offered through Datafeedr.

Creating an Online Store with WooCommerce Integration

As mentioned earlier, WordPress has spawned millions of plugins, businesses, and opportunities for site owners and brands around the world. One of the most popular being WooCommerce, which is a platform to help with the setup of an online store, tracking products and taking in new customers.

This is also where the Datafeedr WooCommerce Importer comes into play, as it will allow site owners to seamlessly integrate the two together while offering access to millions of different products that can be promoted right away.

As with all components of Datafeedr, again there is no need to worry about programming or hiring a designer to get your site or online store up and running. You also won’t need to log in and out of each affiliate network that you want to work with as well — this can all be done right through the platform and plugins being used. In short, through the use of the Datafeedr WooCommerce Importer and it’s built in search feature, site owners can start listing and promoting more than 350 million products across 30+ different affiliate networks, while also working with over 13,000 merchants.

Another added benefit to working with Datafeedr, is that affiliates will earn 100% of their commission and not need to share a portion with outside networks or integration tools. There is also no need to download, import or parse through datafeeds, which can get quite confusing for the average site owner or affiliate marketer. All products are automatically pulled through the Datafeedr plugin and updated as needed from their direct affiliate network or merchants as well.

If all of this sounds a bit confusing, Datafeedr has you covered, as they have a great step-by-step setup guide for working with the WooCommerce Importer. If you are familiar with WordPress, you will have no problem setting this up yourself within a few minutes time.

Creating Product Sets and Comparison Engines with Datafeedr

Keeping with the theme of making the process of setting up an online store as easy and customizable as possible, Datafeedr also offers a Product Sets plugin. This plugin allows for the setup of related products that can easily be imported into your store. This is quite similar to what you might see when shopping on Amazon, where they recommend similar products of interest.

When selecting products to add to your store, all it takes is plugging in the product name, brand, price, if the item is on sale and has an image. This can be seen in the screenshot below as well.

In addition to providing users with the ability to add related products to their site, an even more exciting option is their comparison shopping feature, which is accomplished by using the Comparison Sets plugin. Everyone always wants to save the most money possible, and the best way to accomplish this is to compare prices across a wide range of sites. By providing your audience with this information, you are instantly giving them the best pricing options available, further increasing the likelihood for them to take action on your site — all while earning a commission in the process.

You can see an example of this feature in action above, with the product being available through Wayfair, Overstock, Amazon, and Rakuten. The prices are quite similar, but your audience would definitely appreciate the instant $15 in savings they could get when buying through Wayfair.

There are also plenty of advanced features and customization options for this plugin as well — which includes the ability to create comparison widgets, change currency options, import Amazon locale and set items to display based off specific maximum or minimum sale prices.

Going Live with Datafeedr

To get started with Datafeedr, you can access all of their WordPress plugins for free. Each of them is available through the official WordPress plugin directory, so you can conveniently research and install each of them at your own will. This is just another added benefit of Datafeedr solutions, as you won’t need to download or install the plugins through FTP or mess around with any ZIP files.

Once you are ready to start using any of the integration plugins, you will need to subscribe to one of the Datafeedr API plans. Each plan varies in cost depending on how many API requests you would like to use each month. You can see a full breakdown of each plan below.

Regular pricing plans start at $29/month which allows for up to 1,000 API requests each month and each request can call up to 100 products. The recommended plan is the “Basic Plan”, which allows for up to 25,000 API requests or the $99 professional plan for up to 100,000 API requests. The best way to measure what plan is best for your business and site is to look at your existing traffic and how many products you would like to push.

The option is also there to change your plan at any time, and each also comes with a 30-day money back guarantee.

As mentioned at the beginning of the article, more people are shopping online than ever before. Big brands and affiliate marketers both know this all too well. Datafeedr not only got in ahead of the game and created a revolutionary set of WordPress plugins, they are also making it easier for site owners and affiliates to earn more money in the process by creating advanced online stores of their own.

Head over to Datafeedr today and explore your opportunities with selling online through the power of affiliate marketing.

Expert Tips on How to Make Money Promoting Online Monitoring Software

Software has always been one of the most lucrative and fascinating ways to make money online — for both brands and affiliate marketers. The reason for this is that software solutions usually have much higher margins than traditional affiliate offers, while also having a demand for an exact audience as well. This is often due to the software or infrastructure already being in place, and often having no physical products to create, ship or fulfill.

This is something we’ve seen for decades now in the ‘anti-virus’ and ‘speed up your computer’ space. Everyone needs these types of software solutions, and there is a never ending supply of new customers who are searching for answers to their latest tech problems and needs. Throw in the recent data breaches and attacks on personal information, and data protection and anti-virus software removal solutions are seeing sales like never before. With everyone now having all of their personal data online and basically their lives on their mobile device, protecting and monitoring your personal information is now more important than ever before.

While privacy and protection are likely some of the first things that come to mind when you think of software solutions for protecting your personal data, another should be the monitoring of personal or business devices in your home or workplace. This is something the team over at mSpy has not on created and perfected, they’ve also built a powerful affiliate marketing infrastructure around their business as well — while also helping affiliates earn thousands of dollars in the process.

To learn more about mSpy and how affiliates are generating more money with software than ever before, I sat down with Simon Washington, the Affiliate Manager over at mSpy and had him answer a few questions about the current affiliate marketing landscape and how to best approach the marketing of software online.

1. As affiliate marketers and brands, we are always looking for the best offers to promote. Not just for the sake of making money, but also to provide value to our audience and customers. Can you tell us about mSpy.com software, how it works and also why it’s been a successful offer for an affiliate to continually make money with?

Hello Zac, hello everyone, thanks for having me, I really appreciate it.

mSpy is the leader in the phone activity monitoring software niche, we provide advanced features for remote phone and PC monitoring and have about 2 million users worldwide.

mSpy gives its users opportunity to track the activity of a target device – phone calls, messages, social media, messengers, location, browsing history. We work hard to make the product as useful as possible and constantly improve things and processes.

When someone searches for a product to promote, he wants it to be reliable, useful, popular and well converting. Well… mSpy is about that.

2. Software has always been a great industry to be in, as the profit margins can be quite high. This is something we see in the mSpy affiliate program as well, with commissions starting at 40%, and going as high as 60% with volume. How were these commission levels determined and what does it take for an affiliate to scale their earnings to hit 100+ sales per month?

First of all, I’d just make a minor clarification – mSpy is not just a software, it is a service. mSpy app is just a tiny client, providing a full range access to the number of features and information. Plus, unlike most SaaS services, we are targeted at B2C market, not just B2B. It gives us quite a competitive edge in the software niche. Our product is subscription based, so our CLV is relatively high. The B2C focus and multiple supported platforms allow for an appeal to a wide range of audiences.

Based on that we’ve been able to provide more than competitive commission structure to our affiliates, while adding long-term income as well.

We have a number of affiliates making over 100 sales monthly and there is more than one way to reach those results. Some affiliates build international websites or a number of websites in different languages. Some focus on just one geo, but cover a wide range of topics, that they can effectively rank for. Some go further and optimize their traffic by splitting it between different offers and landing pages. I wish I’d seen more of partners like that.

3. Of the many different ways to promote mSpy (seo, email, content, media buying), what do you recommend affiliates get started with?

So far, SEO has been the most lucrative promotional method for our affiliates. Creating niche websites and helping people find a solution for their specific problems/goals is what works really great. People search for something like “How to track WhatsApp messages”, get to the article where you lay down all the process from installing mSpy, setting it up and showing how to get results people are looking for. This method has made very good money for some of our guys.

Paid search is also a strong channel to attract traffic. Nice LP is what makes or brakes your PPC campaign and our product is not an exception. If you can create a good looking LP with a strong copy, it may work great.

Media buying and Social networks do not work as good, but also worth testing for sure. We are working on adding new offers which will work well with media buys and social.

So, to make it short:

  1. SEO
  2. Paid search
  3. Social

4. Retargeting has quickly become one of the best ways to turn lost customers into return visitors and then potential new customers. With a 120-day sale tracking pixel in place, how are affiliates best using retargeting to increase affiliate sales?

In fact, our affiliates do not have to do retargeting, we will do this for them. As soon as the user clicks the affiliate link he is being assigned to this affiliate, we will run a retargeting campaign and convert him and the affiliate still gets his conversion. Our retargeting campaigns spread for months ahead, so the sales tracking period just enough to cover them.

5. Many bloggers and affiliate marketers like to create niche review sites in hopes to get them to rank in the search results for some great long tail keywords. What type of results have you seen with affiliates doing this, and what should site creators keep in mind for best results?

Yeah, niche blogs have been very successful source of revenue for our affiliates. Competition is much lower than in more general niches like antivirus, hosting, financial, Amazon. And payouts are higher.

When creating a niche website/blog we usually recommend to do a proper keyword research to find those golden nuggets with high volume and low competition. We also provide keywords to get the idea in what direction to look at if the affiliate is new to the niche. We can also advise our affiliates, which keywords/sub-niches convert particularly well.

Second thing is to create useful engaging content that will provide value to the visitor, show how to use the software, give tips and advice. Keywords will attract visitors to the website but quality copy is what makes them buy. We have affiliates with similar traffic, but hugely dissimilar content quality – and that’s enough to show for a 100%+ difference in ROI.

If you already have a ready website in a contiguous niche (Android/iPhone related, software), our content team can write content for you. So you will just need to post it and build some links to make it rank, or even just monetize it with your current audience.

You can see perfect examples of this type of content on our mSpy blog, which already features many useful guides and resources that are completely relevant to who our target audience and customers are.

6. Some offers perform really well on desktop, while other work better on mobile. What are some of the best traffic sources for promoting mSpy monitoring software?

We definitely recommend SEO and paid search as the best traffic sources to market mSpy. All our pages are mobile optimized and work great with mobile traffic. The main thing here is that affiliate’s pages are mobile optimized as well.

Aside from traffic source, it also depends heavily on the offer you’re up to promote.

Mobile users are more inclined to binge browsing, which makes our CPA offers more relevant to them. Desktop users are easier to convert to a sale, especially if they’d come from an SEO source – so our CPS offers do perform best on those.

7. How can our audience of affiliates get in touch with you to learn more about the mSpy affiliate program and how to start earning money with it?

We highlighted all the details on our affiliate page at www.mspy.com/affiliates.html

But if you have any additional inquiries you can always reach out to us via email affiliates@mspy.com.

Special thanks to Simon Washington for taking the time to share his expertise on both affiliate marketing and how to effectively promote software solutions like mSpy online. To learn more about their affiliate program, visit the link above or contact Simon directly at affiliates@mspy.com.

5 Examples of Great Comparison Tables and Charts to Increase Conversions

Comparison charts and information tables are one of the best ways to provide your audience with the exact information they are looking for. When someone visits Google and types in any type of shopping, review or comparison related keyword or phrase, they are already in ‘buying mode‘. Once the visitor ends up on your site, it’s your job to make sure you make it as easy as possible for them to find what they need, and then take action.

No matter what you are selling, what type of niche site you have or even if you are just an affiliate marketer looking to send leads elsewhere, a comparison table can do wonders for your site. In today’s article, we are going to look at a few different examples of what’s working for other sites in the industry and how you can start implementing the same.

Easy to Follow Pricing and Plan Comparison Charts

If you ever need an example of what type of style works best for anything, simply refer to any of the top sites in the industry and they will have millions of dollars in testing, resources and marketing behind their sites. A perfect example of this can be seen on sites like Shopify and Amazon — both have perfected the art of customer sign-ups and making information easy to absorb.

Through the Shopify pricing chart below you can see the three different plans offered by the service, along with an easy to follow breakdown of each. It’s always a stressful and dragged out process to decide what type of plan is right for your business, but this easy and clean breakdown does a great job of showing which may best fit your needs.

Dynamic and Interactive Product Review Charts

Information provided to your audience is always going to be important, but it’s also crucial to delivering it to them in a way that they can make the most use of it. Pet Breeds has done an excellent job at rating different pet foods, while also giving the end user the ability to see charts in full color, ratings from users and also the best places to buy online.

However, the real value and uniqueness in their comparison charts are the ability to sort by brand, name, protein source, life stage and much more. As you make changes to the settings in the left-hand menu, the chart will actively update with new information. Not only will this provide huge value to your audience, it will also help your site always stay up to date with the latest information and reviews, versus simply always being a static text-only state.

Quick Rating, Review and Bonus Style Charts

As you can see, comparison chart can come in a wide range of sizes and styles. In this example, we can see how effective a simple text and image comparison chart can still be for an affiliate or resource site. As mentioned in my previous article on how gaming affiliates are leaving money on the table, there are many different things can be done to instantly improve user experience and conversions on a site. A perfect example of this can be seen through the $1 minimum deposit bonus chart below.

The goal for the affiliate site is to simply provide the end user with the best information possible, then a more detailed rating and review should they wish to pursue that individual offer. With so many different sites to promote and affiliate offers to earn from, this type of layout has become common place among ‘online review’ style sites.

Niche Specific and Individual Product Comparison Charts

Sticking with the concept of always giving the end user exactly what they are looking for, if you are in the product/sales space, a detailed comparison chart like the one below from Metro Kitchen could make the world of a difference for your site.

We all know the headaches and frustrations that come with making a purchase, but the easier you can make it for your audience to make a decision — all the better for both sites. This method has commonly been used Amazon affiliates (as recommended by Spencer Hawes) for attracting user clicks and increasing conversions. Not only that, it’s also a great way to create keyword-rich content for your site and improving search rankings.

User Generated Information and Review-Based Comparison Charts

We all know the value in creating text content and information ourselves, but if you have the ability to take information from your audience and turn that into your own site content… even better!

This is one of the major differences between ‘affiliate’ style resource sites and ‘brand’ sites that rely on user reviews and testimonials. A great example of this can be seen at Who Is Hosting This, as they specialize in the world of web hosting and providing users with real customer reviews on the best hosting solutions out there. Just like I pointed out in the interactive pet food chart above, this site also has a changing comparison chart based on the left-side option menus. Where this comparison chart stands out from the others, is the always updating user reviews and rating systems built into the platform.

Increase Site Conversions and Revenue with Comparison and Review Charts

As you can see, comparison charts are being used across a wide range of industries and markets. No matter what you are selling or promoting, giving your audience the right information and visuals to make it easy for them to complete a specific task is key. Run through each of the examples above and see which style might be best for your site

Top 7 Lead Capture Tools for Growing a Mailing List

Customer acquisition is one of the most important aspects of building your brand. Your customers are your ticket to success, so you need to find creative ways to bring more customers in, but not just any customers — customers who will become brand evangelists.

You also want to survey your audience and find out what they want as you try to improve your content, service or products. Measuring the success of your efforts along the way can be an important part of your strategy.

However, acquiring customers can be costly if you don’t choose the right tools.

For bloggers, site owners and everyone in between, it’s important to have plenty of tools in your arsenal. Lead generation is one of the most important aspects of our business that allows us to scale in size, while also automating the process.

Which Tools are Best for Capturing Website Leads?

Lead generation tools can be a bit confusing sometimes regarding which ones to use and how to implement the technology to maximize your impact on your target audience. Your leads generation tools should be easy to access and use, not too expensive, and they should allow you to focus on the market you want to reach.

We have scoured the web to find some of the best capture tools that will help you grow a mailing list and improve your email marketing campaigns.

Hello Bar

Hello Bar is one of the most effective, yet unobtrusive ways to grow a mailing list and grab the attention of your audience. You’ve likely already seen this tool already being used on various websites and blogs, and the way the tool works is quite simple.

Site owners can add Hello Bar to their site through the use of a WordPress plugin or placing a line of code on their site. In short, it’s a simple Javascript embed code, so it’s compatible with nearly every CMS. Once this is in place, a sticky, non-scrolling bar will appear at the top of any web page you like. The end result is an attractive, yet prominent place that can be used for promoting your latest content, collecting emails for your mailing list or even to simply bring awareness to your latest sales or promotions.

Another great feature of Hello Bar, is that it’s free for all site owners. Premium features, such  as RSS feed integrations (for dynamic promotion of the latest blog posts), SSL compatibility and removal of Hello Bar’s branding are also available for anyone looking to pay a few dollars per month to upgrade.

One of the greatest things about using WordPress to power a site, is that it’s easy to create a contact form of your own. However, there are plenty of tools out there to bring contact forms and engagement to a whole new level.

Gravity Forms is a tool that does exactly that. Not only can you completely customize the look, feel and options for your forms, you can also easily integrate with other platforms like Aweber, MailChimp, Paypal and more. There is a cool tool called the Twitter Lead Generation Card which allows you to let users express interest in what your brand offers.

You can let your users securely share their email addresses with businesses without leaving Twitter or having to fill out forms of any kind. This is a quick and easy way to build your leads while analyzing how it is working.

  • Fill out a contact form
  • Display best offers

It’s very customizable and you can display any content or call-to-action within the plugin. Pop-ups can be obtrusive but this tool seems to be fairly unobtrusive and just allows visitors to add themselves to the list of email subscribers if they choose to do so. They can also exit out of the application if they don’t want to.

Best Tools for Growing Your Mailing List

These are just seven examples of leads capture tools. There are more available on the web for you to discover and try out, and plenty of examples and case studies to guide you along the way. Think about how you want to utilize your content and what types of groups you want to reach. All of these tools can help you in some way but some of them are more robust than others.

Hello Bar is a snazzy way to increase engagement without taking up a lot of website space. GetResponse is great because of the autoresponders and instant notifications capabilities. Gravity Forms is also another great tool for all site owners to consider since we all need contact forms.

Only you know how much you can afford to invest in your email lead generation and outreach, but these tools are a good sampling of price ranges that allow you to build your brand while building your mailing list over time.

Whatever tools you choose, it’s best to try out the features first and see what works and what doesn’t. With time you’ll learn which features are the most important to your business and which ones you can do without.

The goal is to utilize either free or premium tools that will help you reach your business goals and cut your customer acquisition costs down.
